Josey Jewell to the Broncos

this is a conundrum for me. Jewell, is a Hawkeye, and a special one at that, so I’ll cheer like mad for him. But, the Broncos fans are awful to stomach. So I’ve learned to like cheering against them for years. Now, what to do?

There were two groups of fans. One loved Tebow cuz his leadership and will to win, the other hated him cuz he couldn't throw. The group that loved him was becoming more numerous as time went on.
If you remember early on he was allowed to run, but eventually he wasn't allowed to run, cuz Elway wanted him healthy so he could trade him.
Once the first group of fans heard they could get Manning, they said F Tebow.
Also, Elway is a world class prick.

I didn't love or hate him. He can't play QB in the NFL. His mechanics were awful. I'm sure he's a good person, however. And I'm sure he'll be successful in life.

Nah. The fans out here are terrible. Think Sooners fans, or Nebraksa fans. Elway is a first class ass-hole.

Tebow isn't a great baseball player either, but there he is batting .224 in AA baseball. He plays for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (yes, that's a real minor league team).

Dude, I lived there in the John Elway years.....fucking hated it.....fans are like Wisconsin and Nebraska fans rolled into one. The only glory I had was losing all those Super Bowls.....Josie will do well, glad for him, Broncos??? Damn, would have been better anywhere else

The starters at ILB are Brandon Marshall and Todd Davis; both are studs and both have signed contracts so they won't be going anywhere. Todd Davis signed for 3 years, which isn't the best for Jewell because of the two starters Davis is probably the one he'd be shooting for.
I do have to say that if I were a Broncos fan I'd be pretty excited about Von Miller and Shane Ray on the outside with Jewell and Marshall up the middle., I just don't think it'll happen this year. It will be super interesting to see how Josey adapts to a 3-4 after playing 4-3 his entire career. His pursuit is really, really good, but he's on the slow end of the linebacker scale (Greenway was slower, but he played in a 4-3 at Minnesota).

I think Jewell is better than Davis. Elway panicked re-signing him. If Jewell has a good year and shows promise I could see Denver dumping Davis, Jewell can play coverage so much better. Don't forget, Chubb on the outside instead of Ray, he has now been relegated to substitute, either way it's going to be wonderful.

Depends who you believe, he is pretty light to play DE in a 3-4, but maybe a little heavy for LB. They said he wouldn't need to lose weight to play LB, I'm not an expert though.

I am pretty sure that some people also didn't like Tebow because of his outspoken Christianity.
