Exactly. rules are not the same for regular admission. Heck, I had a close contact who coached in the ivy league and they were allowed so many recruits each year with very avg scores.

this is true. and service academies do the same thing - they will have admission standards that are low for the inner city kid they want. for every one else, the minimum admission standards are out the window. went thru the process, attended a service academy and asked about the admissions standards and was told same by an academy official.

TP was academic all B-10 last year. Just because someone doesn't speak well in front of a mic doesn't mean they are stupid. Iowa has been able to get in kids OSU couldn't in the past when OSU raised their requirements.

you still playing chess with the maestro? how's the new coach at chess? you are probably breaking him in with a good game of checkers first, I'd guess.

Ha, that's great. You know what, not only is that better than average, that's probably better than average on this board. From wikipedia: "Furthermore, when the test was given to miscellaneous people of various professions, it was observed that the average participant scored a 24."

People aren't dumb because you dislike them.

DJK. Iowa tried to get Freddie Lenix after OSU admissions denied him and he opted for UC. There's 2 bud.

Hey don't throw Bo Jackson under the bus. He has done better than most athletes and is a very intelligent guy.

This statement wasnt aimed at insulting Jackson's intelligence. It was aimed at the fact that he never went to class but still graduated from Auburn. How does a student pass classes when the student rarely attends classes?

Not to say that athletes don't ever get passes on their grades, but it's not hard to graduate without attending classes. Many undergrad classes grade just on exams and don't penalize for lack of attendance.

Wonder why Terrelle Pryor made so many on-, off-field bad decisions at #Ohio State? He scored 7 on Wonderlic IQ test. Yes, 7. Al Davis' QB.

Well it appears, in TPs case at least, that people are dumb because they are in fact dumb.

Uhh, he didn't graduate from Auburn his first time. He went back to get his degree and did so in 1995. I am pretty sure he attended class at that point. This information is all available via wikipedia, so you really don't have an excuse not to know this.

Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor scored 7 on his first crack at the Wonderlic intelligence test but then took the test again the next day and scored 21.

Using information obtained from NFL personnel people, Pryor answered 48 of the 50 questions in the 12-minute test and got 7 correct. That was on Aug. 20 during his pro day before 17 NFL teams at Hempfield High School in Pennsylvania.

On Aug. 21, Pryor answered 46 of the 50 questions and got 21 correct.

The NFL average on the Wonderlic test is about 19, but the average for quarterbacks probably is in the mid-20s.

On Aug. 22, the Oakland Raiders drafted Pryor in the third round of the supplemental draft.

Be cool if we landed Diamond with him and Ward and all the stud recruits on o-lne last couple years its gonna be fun to see what Iowa can do with all that talent.
