Jordan Bohannon Named B1G Freshman of the Week

I just hope he keeps getting better. Don't get me wrong if he doesn't get any better at all he'd still be a solid player or 4 yrs. I just hope that if he can get just a little more explosive with his quickness and also stronger it'll only help him. The kid has no fear (having bigger older brothers that all played D1 ball I'm sure helped with that not to mention his old man) so I bet he'll never be satisfied with his play and keep working. I just hope that work can have a positive result for him. He's really fun to watch shoot. That quick release is ridiculous. When he caught that pass on the left wing and all in one smooth motion swished it I thought that's as pretty as it gets. The camera guys caught the rotation of the ball in slow mo that was as perfect of a shot as you'll ever see.

They must not have cleared this with 56. Now the entire BTN selection committee is wrong about Bohannon too.

I think I counted 3 or 4 times where JBo had made a good pass and whomever caught it didn't convert their shot. The kid is playing a great floor game not just hitting shots. He could have easily had a handful more of assists too.

If he doesn't get any better, and just averages the same the rest of his career that he is doing right now, and stays healthy he will:

-Be the all time Iowa record holder for three's made in a season. He is on pace for 72 right now in a 32 game season, which would be 9th best ever in an Iowa season.

-Be #2 all time in career assists

-Score over 1,200 points

If he stays healthy, the kid may go down as one of the most productive players in Iowa history. If he stays healthy, he should score 1200 or more points and have 575+ assists...which he would be just the 12th Big Ten player to do that since 1992

Big ups to Jbo. Well deserved for a great kid. Play is one thing, but I like this kid the most for the person he is.

Good for Jordan. I expect 56 to be away for a week now.
I'll fill in...

If JoBo were really good then he would have earned freshman of week long ago. No other freshman played very good this week.

Meh

That right there is a false negative. Discrediting Jbo's achievement because other freshman aren't producing later in the season? This only proves that Jbo is matured past his age. The games he had against Nebraska and Rutgers could have earned him straight POTW some weeks. I guess it still wouldn't mean anything to some. Either your LeBron James or your no good...snort
