Jon's instant reax to playoff poll

You are right. People will believe whatever line of BS is fed them. But they are also a "what have you done for me lately" group with a very short memory.
When Iowa finishes the season 13-1 and champions of some prestigious bowl game, that's what recruits will remember. Not what drivel Colin Cowherd upchucked back in early November.

I believe that is true Hawk1. Win out the regular season and either win or take fOSU into overtime would be great. Just don't get blown out of the CCG. Then, win the bowl game.

On a side note, you should have been in KC for the Royals Parade. There were about 800k downtown celebrating. It was amazing. I'm laid up for a few weeks so I watched on TV. Congrats to the Royals. Toronto won two games in a best of 7 during the AL Championship and Mets won one game in a best of 7 in the World Series. WOW!

Brilliant podcast ... deserves to go viral. The "don't get high on your own supply" reference to ESPN ratings bias was spot on. Too much money involved, the system is corrupt.

thanks...that was cathartic

Damn you. Don't make me google cathartic!

Just listened. Excellent! Too bad Jon couldn't get some of these uneducated talking heads to debate on his podcast. I suppose they charge $$. Put Deace up against to debate.

Bill King on his radio show was saying that if Iowa had Alabama's schedule, and was 7-1, there is no way that Iowa would be #4.
Notoriety is still how this committee operates.
We knew that with TCU dropping from 3 to 6, after winning by 52 last year.

Now we just hope and pray the Hawks win this weekend otherwise it will be a bunch of "see, I told ya so!" from ES(EC)PN

I listen to Sirius XM college sports station 84 on a regular basis. They were blasting ESPN and their bias toward the SEC. They attacked the Alabama placement in the top four as an absolute travesty. They actually called out some of the ESPN talking heads as ignorant and embarrassing. Jon Miller is NOT out of bounds on this issue. His views are supported by some of the best analysts in the football media world on XM. They are not as visible as many of the talking heads, but they are certainly more knowledgeable. Jack Arute, Pac Man, several experienced coaches are on board and would support JM's views 100%.

I heard this too on channel 84. Spot on.

Fun to be talking about this. A year ago we were talking about who our next coach would be.
