Jon Jones

I had read articles suggesting this, but during the broadcast of UFC 126 saturday night Mike Goldberg said that after Jones juco national title he was set to wrestle for the hawks. I figure Tobini or fulsasfan would know, but is this really true? I mean I don't recall any of this but he was at Iowa Central and hes originally from New York, and they have a pretty solid Juco out there (Nassau) so it would make sense that he traveled out this way to eventually go to Iowa. But I just wasnt sure if it was true or if it was just something said to build his reputation by mentioning Iowa, since even people who dont know wrestling know Iowa.

He was going to go to UNI. Iowa was never in the picture as far as I heard.

What is really amazing is how ICCC has pumped out dominate MMA fighters.

In addition to Jones they have Cain Velasquez, current UFC HWT champion, and Joe Soto, who just lost the Bellator featherweight title after looking like he was dominating in the first round.
