Can people please stop bringing up defense as the reason Jok won't make it to the NBA. Defense is only optional until the playoffs come. For God sakes James harden is in the MVP conversation and the only reason he even comes to the defensive end is so he can dribble the ball back up the floor after his man scores.
Jok pry won't make it because he is only a shooter and those are a dime a dozen in the NBA. He will make some good money in Europe and best of luck to him
True but Korver wasn't drafted to be just that. He kind evolved into that over time. He was a pretty good all around player coming out of college and he's bigger and played more of a 3 then a 2 early on then what Jok would be. Now there's a pretty darn good value to be had for having a sharp shooter on your team. But if that's literally all your expecting or going to end up getting out of him he's not going to play a lot. Therefore his draft stock won't be very high at all...
It would have been interesting to see how Jok would be if he never would have hurt his knee in HS. I still don't think he's reached what his potential should be athletically. That's too bad. But I'm happy he's been able to get where he's gotten. For awhile it looked like he might not even play college ball.
Give or take yup. I don't know if a team would spend a draft pick on that. With all the foreign kids teams seem to be drafting and stashing they just don't seem to want a one trick pony when there's more 'potential' and 'upside' to be had from others. What he is saying is that Jok is a catch and shoot guy and that is all he will ever be. Think Ray Allen. Not the Ray Allen that played for the Bucks and Celtics, Jok will not be anywhere near that type of player. I am talking about the Miami Heat Ray Allen where age and injury morphed him into a catch and shoot guy. If he sticks in the NBA(which I doubt) he will be a guy playing 10 to 15 minutes a game going to a spot and shooting the basketball. Forget the rest of it, the lack of D, dribble drive, all of it. None of that matters except his ability to shoot.
Of the 450 NBA players on 2016-17 rosters, 113 are not from the US.Give or take yup. I don't know if a team would spend a draft pick on that.
