I think he'll even play more confident (if that's even possible) when he knows he's the man.
He just seems like someone who is gonna thrive in that circumstance. At the very least he won't back down from it.

Jok still needs to develop his off the dribble game and he will definitely need it next season. To me, he still doesn't look mentally ready to explode with a sudden burst off one foot; he struggles finishing at the rim because he doesn't explode to the rim. He's fine off two feet and we can see that he has really good hops, but off one foot he shies away from contact. He'll get there. And I agree, Jok will flurish as "the man" next season.
His improvement on both dribble drive and exploding to the rim (which I agree still needs work) have both improved a ton from last year. On the journey episode that featured him, he said this is the first year his knee has been 100%. People on here have said it has been 100% for a couple years now. But even if it was 100% medically, it wasn't 100% conditioned for exploding to the rim. If he even improves half as much from this year to next as he did from last year to this, he might be finishing in traffic with some dunks next year.
Absolutely, PC. I saw the same episode where he stated his knee wasn't physically 100% until after last season. Basketball is such a mental game and I could see where he would be "careful" with his knee and not trusting it. Jok is so close to becoming an elite type player and I agree that he gets there, next season. The fact that his confidence with his jump shot is supreme makes me giddy to think of how much better he'll be when he does trust his knee completely.
Jok is one of those guys that reacts to every bump and bruise like he's going to die. When he left the floor I turned to my wife and said "He'll be back in the game within 10 minutes."
yep, unless somebody else develops into a shooting threat, defenses are going to key on him big time.

You pretty confident he is coming back? He puts together a pretty good stretch run here he might flirt with leaving.
Pete just keeps getting better. If he continues to improve he will not only be our 4th straight 1st team All Big 10 player next year but possibly our 2nd straight All American.
By his own admission, his knee is back to 100% for the first time since his injury. He may need one more year to prove it to the NBA scouts.
I have been holding back on this, but I have been thinking about it for awhile. Is it possible that "Pistol Peter" Jok bolts to the NBA after this season? I would hope not as the Hawks could use his skills, but I have this feeling that his stock might not be higher than it is after this season.
GO HAWKS!!!
Jok will return to Iowa for his Sr. Season and his stock will continue to grow..
While this is likely true I kind of thought that both last year and this year. This, and we're going to struggle next year..... .500 in conf if we're very fortunate.
