Jok busted for OWI?

Yawn. Worse part was being out at after 2 am -- doesn't the trainer harp on these guys about getting good rest! Tired driving worse than .087.

It disturbs me how many people pass this off as no big deal. Maybe you have not had a family member killed at the hands of drunk driver, but I have and to me anytime someone drives drunk or under the influence of any substance it is a big deal. What really saddens me is that McGary can get suspended a year for marijuana (I'm ok with that punishment in it's own right) but OWI or DUI had better be equal to that at least.

To whoever said it will be hard for Jok to keep his nose clean for 3 years of college. I know people think, hey it's college do whatever the hell you want, it doesn't matter. That is stupid. At college you are training to be an adult in the working world. If you make a mistake that is fine, everyone does, but if you can't learn from your mistake and grow up then that is a problem. It shouldn't be hard for Jok to figure this out and move on.

.087?? What a Jok (pun intended). I'll guarantee that every 16-21 on the road is driving more "impared" by *ucking with their phone every 2.3 seconds.

I should know I'm posting this while driving.

I wonder how many innocent people have died from moped DUI's. Jok was truly the only one in harm's way, IMO. I know that's not the PC thing to say, but I can't say I never drove buzzed when I was his age. I would think the fact that it's a moped and he was barely over the limit, that Fran would take it easy on him. Maybe 1-2 games tops.

1 pre-season game; additional ladder drills. Public service in addition to whatever the court might order. Lean forward.

The worst thing about this is he might get booted if he screws up again. 3 years is a long time to keep your nose clean in college. Knowing Iowa basketball's luck, he will probably get kicked off the team for a public intox, transfer, and become the next Michael Jordon.

I don't see how hard it is to not get arrested....

I know what you mean, but if I'm coaching this team it would increase for it being on a moped. While it may have been less of a risk to others on the road, it puts himself more at risk.

The Fry days were nothing compared to how players are treated at West Canaan. One time a player there stole a cop car and drove around drunk and naked and never even got a slap on the wrist.

Lol I like.

"My boys giving you trouble?"

"oh...no coach, they are just being kids"
