Both Pearl and Tressel lied to the NCAA to cover up other transgressions. Where is the line for you? Direct payment of players by coaches? What level of cheating become grounds for termination for you?
 


And the NCAA was ethical in their original punishment? Its all BS- the kids really did nothing wrong. Tressel did, but imagine you were being policed by an organization more corrupt than the IOC? He should have told the truth but I am not inspired by the NCAA's history and especially recent history with investigations and punishments. I understand the cover up is worse than the crime and it is surely the case in this one particular as I am not sure what it is the players did that was so wrong.

You've been repeating this tripe since the story broke, and you've been wrong every step of the way.

At the very least, OSU is going to vacate the entire 2010 season, and Tressell won't coach a game until next year.

Not really. As I said last week the SI story was to be very damaging. That was the straw that broke the camels back. You think its a coincidence that the story is to break tomorrow and Tressel resigned today? As the SI reporter tweeted when his story comes out this will make more sense. Your patting yourself on the back is funny tho keep it up....lol

I will. I've been right from day one, keep trying to make excuses as to why you embarrassed yourself by being wrong countless times on this subject. You've really got some OSU insight...lol.

I just keep track of my predictions, like Tressel will be fired and Miami will win 3 NBA titles in 4 years. Nothing really to do with you, I just like to remind the people who doubt me, when I'm right.

And I'm sure you're too busy to follow me, even though you seem to show up within minutes everytime I post. You probably have several boards where you pretend to be an OSU insider, that probably takes up a lot of your time.

Well I couldn't hardly disappear now could I. Lol. This has ruined my Virginia Beach vaca that's for sure. Nothing some vodka and red bulls can't fix tho.....ugh
 


I have to agree with Shada, it is pretty funny seeing him backtracking here. Then again, it's become very clear over the last several months that humility is hard to find from anyone inside of Buckeye Nation. Pretty sad when the norm has become "Who cares what happened or will come out? Win at all costs." Hard to expect fufred would come in and admit he was dead wrong...

The NCAA is NOT going to want that kind of precedent to pass lightly. Although they don't have teeth with respect to investigations, they do have teeth with respect to punishing those who lie to them.

Google, USC, McNair, and Bush if you want an example. The vest might keep his job, but the team is going to lose post-season and scholarships if he does.

Considering Tressel's history before he even arrived in Columbus, OSU and their fans were never going to look good in the long run once the feces started hitting the rotary device.

But then, they never care if they look good or not. As long as they're winning.
