Waiting for all the KF love on here for going and visiting the kid and getting him to come to IC!
Please no. It's the choice of th Big 12 for a reason.I wonder how they will use him? He looks like a terror attacking the QB. Time to start thinking 3-3-5?
Situational? Please no. It's the choice of th Big 12 for a reason.
Plus the thought of less than four down lineman disgusts me personally.

I was kinda kidding. I just prefer the 4-3/4-2-5 because that's all I've ever played in and all Iowa's ever run. Though Dom Capers did kinda ruin the 3-4 for me.Really? I always liked the 3-4 front. I thought it was always tricky to prepare for. A few teams still run it but its going out of style in the NFL and is nearly nonexistent in college.
The 3-4 is not going out of style in the NFL.Really? I always liked the 3-4 front. I thought it was always tricky to prepare for. A few teams still run it but its going out of style in the NFL and is nearly nonexistent in college.

I agree with that. NFL is such a passing league you’re going to have your nickel corner out there on most downs. It’s like this other thread that was started claiming Iowa is a 4-2-5 now. It’s simply about matching up personnel with your opponent, not exactly rocket science IMO.About 10 teams use it. Maybe going out of style was a poor choice of words. But NFL wide the use of 5 DBs is over 50% of the snaps. Looks more like a 3-3-5 than a traditional 3-4. But than again I'm not a coach. I do watch GB, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore quite a bit and they are about as married to the 3-4 as anyone and they still use 5 DBs far more than they don't.
