Jaxson Hayes

The sone of former Iowa and NFL tight end Jonathon Hayes, Jaxson has been attended Iowa football camps in the past.
However, Jaxson has grown like a proverbial bean sprout so to speak and is now 6-11. He would be a 2018 recruit. Although
Iowa does not currently have a scholarship available, one would be available if there were any transfers or if Ahmad Wagner
would switch to football.

I don't think the probability of Wagner switching sports is as great as a current player transferring to free up a scholarship.

There would also be a scholarship available for Jason Bohannon would switch to football. Of course, neither will happen.

I don't understand the Wagner to football talk, if he actually liked football he'd have played more than one year of it in high school. He played his senior year because his friends had been bugging him to play since they were freshman and happened to be really good at it when he tried. But just because he turned out to be good at it doesn't mean he had any desire to play more of it.

That's pretty much all it is too it sounds like.. It's too bad the kid may have had NFL potential at football. But as far as hoops goes maybe he'll cash some checks in Europe. But even that's a maybe for him... It's too bad he didn't switch to football after his freshman yr to see how good he might be.. But we'll never know

Someone's going to transfer after the season. There's just not enough playing time for guys who've been on the team for two years who want to play. I don't want to see anyone transfer but I hate to miss out on talent also.

Just because they aren't playing doesn't mean a transfer. Sort of like the NFL is no indication of how good a college player is. Fruitless point.

You're right, 99% of us said the exact same thing after last season (someone is gonna transfer) and no one did. It's hard to read or predict, but it's going to be an even bigger log jam after this season.

I heard all our OL was switching to swimming.

Lol, yeah and if that don't work out there is always ballet.

Ballet-
noun

  1. a classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement (of the defensive line)
