Jarrod Uthoff

He is VALUABLE.. Especially when you look at the options on the bench. Uthoff needs to be on the court.. This isn't rocket science and not even debatable in my mind..

FACT!!

Uthoff should have shot more tonight, I don't get why he doesn't look to do more. He somewhat reminds me of a poor man's Adam Haluska, not so much in their game but in their mentality toward it. Haluska wasn't near as aggressive as someone with his talent should have been. Uthoff's not as good as Haluska was, but Haluska finally figured it out senior year, hopefully it clicks for Uthoff in the next couple of years too.

The vibe I'm getting is he doesn't feel that comfortable doing so.

Here's another Uthoff stat, he's been on the court for six second half segments in the three games prior to the Illinois game had a negative plus minus rating every single segment. He was also was on the floor for the end of game collapse against Wisconsin, so his last seven second half stints all ended in negative plus/minus ratings.

So uthoff is being blamed for these losses here, and his 'other good stats' were created against +300 teams, and his 'bad stats' were vs BIG, as referenced earlier in this thread, but yet after a good game, were saying he should shoot more.

Hindsight makes lots of people 20/20....

Well his stats were against another bad team tonight but yes that was my point all along, that when Uthoff isn't aggressive, he should be playing. He was more aggressive tonight than any game recently. I have nothing against Uthoff, just against people who make silly arguments.

Uthoff sucks bro, he can't even dribble without falling over.

So should he shoot more, or does he suck bro?

Which is it?

Uthoff was terrific last night. I said it in the game thread but he knocked down shots, rebounded, played good defense. Best game of the year by far.

If he can knock down the 3 ball there will certainly be a place for him on the court. I'm still concerned with him playing the 3 spot in man to man defense against quicker wing players and giving up penetration.
