It's freaking August, it's been months since football and basketball season. What is a sports nut to do to occupy their time?

My attentions are equally paid to other BIG opponents.

The "we beat you twice" argument is so tired. Who gives a rip? Campbell beat you guys, A + B does not = C. We had a far better year by every relevant measure.

What measure could possibly be more relevant than head to head competition? We whipped your ***** twice. We were better than you when it counted. :cool:

Again, that rationale is completely flawed. You lost to Campbell, phucking Campbell!!! Is Campbell better than you? That's about as far as you have to traverse in saying that Iowa is better than Wisconsin.

We finished a game out of the championship, went to the NCAA tournament (again), won 2 games in the NCAA tournament (again) and barely lost to a #1 seed in their own backyard.

While Iowa went to the NIT and finished in the bottom half of the league.

Yet again.

It's cute how clueless some are about the world of college basketball and recruiting. You think Luke Winn would throw something like this out there "randomly." Just b/c he was thinking about how odd it was? Of course not, he has from good sources what happened and he's throwing out this nugget. He's not in the business of completely throwing a coach under the bus.

Like I said, grand scheme of things, no big deal, but there is zero chance that Fran McCaffrey didn't talk to Uthoff prior to Uthoff starting classes with us. Jared was recruited and Bo doesn't look like quite the jerk after the way this played out. In the end, we got better, so I'm happy.

I think Fran is smart enough to know that. He skirted the rules I am sure but impossible to prove and it doesn't matter anyway, all parties have moved on.

Activebadger and other bu##hurt fans, let me get this straight. You say there had to be tampering because there is no way a kid that grew up an Iowa fan, lives less 30 miles away from Iowa City, was heavily recruited by Iowa and their coach, has friends on the team, likes their style of play, sees a better opportunity to play would choose to play at Iowa because he had so called better offers. Like I posted before, I don't think Iowa had to re-recruit him. They know what they were getting and he knows what they're offering without even talking. He sees a better opportunity close to home. Only difference between Iowa and those other schools is paying for a year, he already had to sit out a year whereever he went. Just accept that he wanted out and your bu**hurt that he went to Iowa. Who cares where he went. You guys like to say who cares because we have someone incoming that is better. Then why are you here complaining about it months after it happened. Yes, Wisky has been better the last few years, but Iowa did sweep Wisky last year. Let's call it even. Iowa is on the way back up and seems like Wisky fans are scared of that fact. I would expect this from Clowns fans, but seems that you have the Lil' Brother syndrome as well.
 
Uthoff is a hawkeye and paid his own way to be one. Was offered a full ride at Wisconsin and turned up his nose to them. That says everything right there......end of story. :D

Even though players mostly commit to a coach, in this case, Brust was committed to the University of Iowa. Iowa did not have to release him or could have placed restrictions on him as well, but they didn't. I guess they handle things differently at Iowa compared to Wisky?

Let's see, Iowa lost to Wisconsin by 3 in OT two years ago and beat you twice last year! Sure does suck to be irrelevant. And I guess it will obviously suck for you when Iowa becomes relevant?

And no, Creighton and ISUx are not "higher in the pecking order" than Iowa....not from a bball program standpoint ..nor in academics ..nor with hotter girls ..nor with better fans ..now go away, you've warn out your welcome here clown.
