James Vandenberg: it's Not Your Fault

the RB position as been a revolving door all fall going back to last spring, it looked like Canseri was to be the starting RB. he got hurt and Hill looked to be the starter, wrong, he gets hurt and is done for the season. Bullock gets switch from slot receiver and did a pretty good job gaining 280 yards in 2 and a half games.
the he gets hurt and Garmon comes in and gets hurt a few plays later with what looked like a season ending injury, then Weisman moves into the RB slot after startying *** the FB after Rodgers got hurt in fall practice.
what I found funny on other sites people were rippinG KF for not starting the best player from day one,, like anyone new anything about this kid as he was a transferr walkon from Navy.. the good news and bad news he ended up with over 600 rushing yards in 4 games, the bad news is he is out with a injury but the goodnews again is that Bullock and Garmon are both healthy and playing again and Bullock did end up with over 100 yards rushing for the game..
the OL has taken its fair share of hits with Blythe going down with a injury Walsh played a couple of series and got hurt letting Donnal get the start the next game. Now Scherff and Donnal are both done for the season because of injuries. this causes a major change to the OL 9 games into the season wth VanSloten at RT, Blythe is back starting at RG, Ferentz is still the starter at Center, Walsh is the new Starter at LG and Tobin moves from LG to starting at LT.
there is good news from all this for next season. we should have a solid group of RB's for next year..
Bullock
Garmon
Canzeri should be back at 100% and appears to be RS
Hill should be at 100% after RS
Dawson will be ready after RS
Malloy is RS
Weisman should be 100%
then you have whoever they get this spring and alot of these players took a shot from the AIRBHG and survived
the OL has some good young Talent getting valuable playing time
RSFR Blythe
RSFR Walsh
RSSO Donnal
RSSO Scherff
all these players were starting for the 1st time in their careers
1st season starters
RSJR Van Sloten RT
JR CJF TE
RSSO KMM WR
then you have the following playing
Hamilton SO TE
Hillyer RSFRR WR
Duzzy RSFR TE
Smith FR WR
Cotten JR Slot receiver and KO returner
Thats a lot of young talent playing this year that the coaching staff is dealimng with on the offensive side of the ball plus you have to realize GD is implementing his system all this since he got here in March, that's quite a bit to deal with in 7 months, this is where the good news comes in. all these players but 2 return next year, the only 2 listed that won't return are Tobin at LT and his replacement will either be Donnal or Scherff, Ferentz will be a difficult p[osition as he is responseble for blocking assignment call on the Line. but with KF and BF working on that I am not going to worry about that..
I will do another post on the out look on the defense later..
sorry about the length but this has a lot of good info looking forward..

Wow... And the award for longest post that had absolutely nothing to do with the original thread goes to... At least I don't think it did, then again I'm still reading the transcript.

Ok Hn, time to decide once and for all...am I a hater, or am I an apologist? I am sick of being called both!

With the literary genius of this thread I would have to say apologist. It's too well written and lacking the hatred of a true hater.

Wow brilliant lets mock and make fun on the Iowa starting QB, not really shock from who it came from either

Seriously, I think I was pretty fair to him. Granted it was flippant, and I addressed some of his shortcomings. but most of teh wrath was directed at others. When I said Peyton Manning couldn't win with this offense, I meant it.

What's that? The most regressed passer? The record falls tonight.

He's done a great deal for this fan base that will be remember for years to come and I think it's only fair that we don't focus on just one aspect of it and but his work as a whole, because he means so much to so many. He's touched the hearts of us all in one way or another, but I'm guessing that touch was in the 3 to 5 yard range.

If that's not sincerity I don't know what is. Hillarious.

You sir, are a clear Hateologist. Based on the recent listing of highest paid state employees I'd say you should be making a pretty good living.

The only thing I hate is Herby, for hijacking this awesome thread.

Is this the way other people feel during the numerous threads I hijack on a daily basis?

Our state is a bunch of fatties. I see these 5'2" women who weigh 250+ pounds and wonder where it all went wrong. How do you not have enough self discipline to not eat that fourth twinkie? Put down the 32oz. pop ya fatty and hit the gym. Of course, with the overpopulation problem at least you're helping the rest of us when you stroke out or have a massive cardiac infarction at 42. Damn fatties.
