Once the dead period is over, my guess is the Iowa coaches will be in communication with prospects and sharing what they can.

The dead period is over this weekend I believe. The dead period lasts through the bowl game season, and then through the completion of the coaches convention.
Not good. Could just be the trigger for some second guessing he may have already had going on. Just speculating. But that is what happened with that running back last year from Kenosha, WI that jumped ship to Wisconsin after a rumored fight in the locker room and the Adam Robinson stuff. Gave him an excuse to jump to Wisco.
Quite amusing that (a) multiple threads on the same topic bother people and (b) the folks bothered by it take time to post to the new thread.

I don't think that RB had to listen to rumors. I believe he was at that game for his official visit when that happened. Not exactly rolling out the red carpet.
Right, even worse. Family knows his high school coach. The word early on was that Iowa was far above the others, including UW. The UW coaches stayed on him hard and his parents wanted him to go to Wisconsin. He eventually changed his mind, as we know. Probably started when he attended Wisconsin's home victory over number 1 OSU. We had just come off a great BCS win the prior year but were kind of going downhill with losses and player problems by that time. The point being that Jaleel Johnson may be looking at MSU and thinking that it looks pretty great to be a huge D linemen for that team (New Years bowl game, projected first rounder in Worthy).
Of course we all know these things are cyclical (sp?), as evidenced by MSU's year a few back when half their team was arrested for fighting, etc. and they lost in the Alamo Bowl.

He is our most important recruit given how much Iowa relies on the defensive line.
