Jake Rudocks father tonight..."He is going to IOWA"

It will be a very huge thing if he keeps his commitment. Growing up a fan and season ticket holder of the local school and having that school make a really strong coaching hire. Keeping his word in that situation is more than commendable.

“There has been no wavering on his part,†Bob Rudock said of Jake.

“We’ve tried to make it clear to (coach Golden) today that he’s going to Iowa because of all this crazy stuff on the blogs,†Bob Rudock said.

“He just really likes the school and he loves the fans,†Bob Rudock said. “I can’t tell you how much he appreciates the fans.â€

Bob Rudock ought to be in PR.
 
It is obvious that Jake has something lacking in many players. His word is good and he will stick by it.

I look forward to watching him set records as a Hawk!

For another day or so before the free trial ends. I've been conversing with some of them over there tonight. Some have been OK but there are a few that saw things like "Jake is ruining his life" and "I feel sorry for his family". They seem to have a less that flattering attitude toward Iowa.

lol have you seen where Miami is located??? not exactly the best place....there was a reason it is called Thug U....other than looking at their rings and beaches Miami has no room to look down on other schools as less classy lol....But Jake I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AS A HAWK!!!! Way to keep your word VERY admirable in young kids these days!

This is what happens when people read local papers with slanted views. Don't get worked up until it actually happens.
 
They are really melting down over there this morning over this. They're posting stuff like how Jake is throwing his career away and how Jake must not want to play in the NFL. They also apparently have been given the wrong info regarding our QB status as most of them think he won't even get a chance to play until he is a JR. I guess they don't realize there are things called red shirts and that Jake's biggest competition leaves in two years meaning he will get a chance to take over his SO year. Anyway, most of them are idiots down there. I hope they don't start harassing Jake and his family over all of this.
 
Anybody else losing respect for Al Golden? I got the vibe from the article that the family almost had to come out and reaffirm Jakes committment to Iowa in order for Golden to back off.
