Izzo

Izzo's post game interview was revealing of his personality. He had little to say about the game Nebraska played, and talked about himself and the injuries to his players and how poorly they played, not seeming to realize that the Huskers had something to do with that.....

He gave very little credit to Nebraska, as I remember it....

Man last year I talked about how I disliked Izzo and a lot of people on here defended him. I wish I could find that thread. I dislike that thug babysitter more every time I see him.

Wrong. If the dean of big ten coaches who is tremendously respected by the entire basketball world wanted a fairly polite word or two with you, you would oblige. By not obliging, you run the risk of being perceived as stone walling him which may not be good for your officiating career.

JG, and here in lays the double standard that needs to stop. The "word or two" eventually turns into complete horsechit calls that go in MSUx favor. They are given games, each season.

I've also wondered why TV Ted Valentine hasn't done many Michigan State games. I'm almost betting money that it is either him, the crew from the MSU game in IC (Including Izzo-lover Mike Sanzere), or the crew including the ref who T-s up Fran (see UNI game) will be in East Lansing. You better believe Izzo will have who he wants in EL when the Hawks come to town. I'm also betting TV Ted is just gearing up for the Big Ten tournament as well.

I don't think he's done any MSU or Iowa games this year, IIRC. If that's true, you can bet it's not just a coincidence.

Edit: I found his schedule and he's had just two MSU games this year (Kentucky and Indiana), and none in the last month. Including BTT's, he reffed 7 MSU games last year, 8 the year before that, 7 the year before that. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's getting fewer MSU games this year.
