Izzo Turns Down Cavs......

Not a good decision; what else can he do at MSU?

Win more titles, mentor more youth, act as a positive role model, be a fixture & a source of pride on the MSU campus, act as an ambassador for the Big10...

And maybe - and this probably sounds crazy - maybe he's happy there. Kind of like... oh, I don't know... Kirk Ferentz?

If Lebron doesn't come back, that's going to be a bad basketball team. Maybe Izzo believes James isn't going to be there. At least this leaves the door open for all the Bulls fans that want him to come to town.

Not live in a routine, have the opportunity to coach one of the greatest players of all time, coach at the next level, make more money, stay in the Midwest

Somehow I suspect Tom Izzo doesn't think there's a "next" level from where he is now. Money? He's got some, and probably will get more for just looking at the Cavs gig.

Good move by Izzo, going to the Cavs could have been a disaster. If LeBron comes back he has to win a title, in his first year in the NBA, or else the season will be a failure. If him and LeBron didn't get along for some reason the Cavs would drop him in a sec to please LeBron. If he didn't come back to the Cavs it would have been Izzo coaching a terrible team in a depressed city, I don't think $3 mil more a year is worth that.

Good news. I hope he doesn't get swayed into the NBA and continues to coach at MSU until he retires. IMO...the NCAA needs more guys like him.

I never once though Izzo would ever take the job. If you seen the Izzo interviews on campus with the Big Ten Network I believe, you can tell he is totally happy where he is and probably wouldn't be happy in the NBA.

Apparently Izzo did not feel the need to stroke he's ego like that. He stayed right where he belongs.
