I've been pretty critical of JVB and I feel bad

No. You and others went too far. I'm not thrilled with his play either, but the comments about his low quality character and being a short dicked loser are uncalled for. I'm pretty sure nothing will be done about it cause the forum rules seem to have fallen by the wayside as usual, but it isn't right.

Could be worse, he could be the bear he shot.

I agree. Pretty ridiculous.

Well see, if you go back and read my original post, you'll see that items 1-4 are legitimate handicaps to a QB playing well. He is contributing sure, but it's not all his fault. Those are legit, I felt bad.

But I can't help it if the thought of a guy baiting a bear to shoot it for fun, makes me think less of the guy.

I doubt he cares about what I think about his character, because he just went out and shot himself a deer.

Dude, you want to impress me? Go to an area where you know there are bears, be quiet enough that they don't hear you and shoot one in their natural environment.

What JVB did is no different than someone sending you a text message that Barta is in town and wants to talk to you about your opinions for the next football coach.

I have no issue with hunting for sport, or for food, but if what JVB did is considered sport, than it explains an awful lot about his play this year.

Yeah, you gotta feel awesome eating meat that has been raised in a pen or a cage, taken to a slaughter house, fattened up artificially...

Awesome.

Forum "rules" are similar to the "equality" on "Planet of the Apes". As Taylor noted, "Some apes are more equal than others".

Whatever dude - I would bet that JD has seen this thread. This thread was started and its first content was about me feeling bad about being so critical and how there was more to our offensive woes than just JVB.

If you think this is out of line than report the post to JD and if he doesn't like it he can take it down and I'll have ZERO issue with it.

I don't do "reporting". But I DO think JD kowtows to certain posters...

come on Boss, you're better than this. i expect this from a plastics salesman, but not from a rock n roll legend.

I don't. That's why I eat locally raised organic meat products whenever possible.

Ahh, to be ignorant....both the bear and the buck were 100 percent organic. They were also raised locally and processed locally. But it seems worse when you think of something furry vs something in a package right?

You're right. Where would we all be if no one hunted or killed an animal, ever? We'd be in a much better place, without steak, cheeseburgers, chicken, fish, or that big *** bird that's always on the table at Thanksgiving (I forget what it's called). We'd all eat nothing but herbs and grass, and we'd love it. That just sounds wonderful.

Seriously, this thread is WAY over the line. Calling JVB out on his play is one thing. This is way more personal than that.

Dudes and dudettes- this wasn't a tongue in cheek post.

It was sincere. I felt bad about how critical I had been on him, realizing that he is just a kid and that he is trying his hardest. So I came up with 4 legitimate reasons why things were derailing that had nothing to do with him.

Sorry if I don't see the fun in hunting. I realize it's a past time for a lot of you.

I personally don't hunt, either. But I don't have any problem with people who do. But that's not the part that bothers me; if you don't like the idea of hunting, that's fine, and well within your right. Where I take issue is using the hunting as a mark against his character (both on a personal and football level). That's where all this crosses the line.

I suspect he has a shoulder or rib injury if you watch him getting tackled...the way he protects himself.
