It's Time To Put The Big Boy Pants On Now.

This is pretty much what the coaches have to say to the players now. The coaches have prepared them, game planned and schemed. What's left now is all on the players to go to work, perform and beat the guy across from them on every play. It all comes down to their heart and effort now. The coaches should put them in a position to succeed.

All Iowa can do is take care of what they have control of and win out. Go to work boys! DO YOUR JOB!!

I just want them to win the division and finish the season ranked. I don't really care what bowl game they get to. I obviously would prefer they win it, particularly because its the last game of the season and its great to end the season with a win.

Less film study, more therapy for Nate. If his head is ok, the team will be ok. If not we're looking at 8-4 or 7-5

So I was sitting in film study today, and I realized, ever since I threw my last interception at Penn St, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

Nate Stanley: It's a problem of motivation, all right? Now if I work my ass off and Iowa wins a few more games, I don't see another dime, so where's the motivation? And here's something else, Gary: I have eight different bosses right now.

Gary Dolphin: I beg your pardon?

Nate Stanley Eight bosses.

Gary Dolphin: Eight?

Nate Stanley: Eight, Gary. So that means that when I make a mistake, I have eight different people coming by to tell me about it (not to mention everyone else on the internet). That's my only real motivation is not to be hassled, that and the fear of losing my starting job as Quarterback at Iowa. But you know, Gary, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired.:)

Jesus.
I remember being on here a few years ago (under a different name), saying it would be nice for Iowa to make it to a Rose bowl sometime in my life time.
Lot's of people on here agreed.
The game was horrendous and embarrassing but....

Now we are hanging our heads and dissing on the coaches and players for a possible Rose Bowl berth?

Yeah we all want a national championship and we are closer to that than we have been in.... forever.
So cheese and rice lighten up. Next year lines up better for a legit run anyway, but personally I'm still proud of the program and players for how far we have come in a short time.

A few years ago the Rose Bowl actually meant something.
Now it's no more than a gussied-up consolation prize.
Meh.

No “we” aren’t. But I know you know who is.

The Rose Bowl lost it’s luster for me when years before the CFP came into existence it was no longer a PAC-10 Big-10 destination.

Those that expect a NC are going to live a very disappointing life. But I’m pretty sure they are the type that are happy being miserable.
