It's Peyton Mansell Time, Kids

The meaningful season is officially over. Iowa could go 3-0 or 0-3 the rest of the way, and the results wouldn't make an ounce of difference on the quality of bowl game. Mansell needs multiple series in every game the rest of the way, and should start against Illinois. This also goes for every freshman who has four games left and can still redshirt. Time to find out who can play and who can't and hope that ol' 8-4 Kirk can improve next year.

If you want Stanley benched for mansell you're better off hoping Stanley kills it the rest of the way and declares for the NFL draft.

Stanley would have to get caught schtupping Mary to get pulled.
Even then, probably only cost him a quarter.

Last I checked Stanley didn't get torched through the air all day. Neither the O nor Stanley were the problem today, though the first 2-or attempt was questionable at best and put us in a box for the second one.

It is TIME for Mansell, but If they would not bring him in when Stanley hurt his thumb and could not even throw the ball close, guessing there is NOT A CHANCE Mansell will see the field. VERY frustrated that he will not give him a chance.

I would like to see Peyton worked into the offense, but not as a starter. Running situations, change of psce. The lack of a pass rush killed Iowa and sloppy tackling. Hard to win too when the refs suddenly starts calling a penelty late in the game after not calling it all game. A real TEAM loss.

He would be the only chance of unseating Nate, I know that he was KOK's target and he didn't expect to get him. His high school highlights look like a college reel.
His high school coach says he has a better arm than Goff for the Rams (both went to the same high school). Also he was the 12th ranked QB in his class nationwide.

I'm cool with Petras getting some run too, if he wants. He gets games before the redshirt kicks in. I'd be okay with subbing Petras in for Mansell in any of these four games.

Petras completed 64 percent of his passes as a senior for 4,157 yards and 50 touchdowns to just two interceptions, breaking Jared Goff's school records for yards and touchdowns in a season.

I like Mansell and think he's the next guy, until I watch this:

if that happens Iowa wins the rest of their games if they play something that resembles pass defense
