It's all coming back to me now

Notice I said I had SEASON tickets. I had them from 1990-1997, when I moved up to the Bay Area. I discussed that game because it was the most memorable for me based on the context.

Now, nobody was or has been as good as Jordan. But some other teams were able to put champion squads together during the 90's, including the Pistons, Rockets, and Spurs. Albeit, maybe an asterix should be applied here and there.

What current star has a good supporting cast around them? You keep refusing to answer this question.

Sorry, I just kept finding myself responding to other posts.

The league is strange right now. There is lots of transition.

You have young teams with nice pieces that play young foolish basketball, like Portland and OKC. You have a team like NY that has 2 guys and a coach that don't believe in D. You have teams like Boston, Dallas, and San Antonio that are really old, but have a number of guys that can hit the shot.

Also, some teams were really hurt by injury in the Playoffs, like Memphis and Boston. Rondo and Rudy Gay are big losses.

And, of course, you have the three headed monster.

Now, is there a team beyond Miami that has a great supporting cast? Let's look.

Young teams with multiple players who could develop into nice units.
Portland, OKC.

Teams that get better with getting injured guys back.
Memphis, Boston.

Teams that could seriously challenge by making one big move.
Boston, LA, Chicago, Dallas (but they could still prove me wrong)

Wait and see teams that have more than one really good piece, but need more.
New York, Atlanta.

Stars that are waiting out their contract.
Howard, Paul, Griffin, Love

Teams that may have to break it down and will drive the new CBA, particularly the guaranteed contract issue.
Boston, LA, San Antonio, Dallas.

First, what is your definition of seriously challenge? Chicago is in the ECF, Dallas is in the Finals, but you have both of those teams listed as teams that "could seriously challenge by making one big move"? They are obviously already serious challengers.

You think it's hysterical that people overrate Rose's supposting cast, yet even you have them in your top five. As for the other teams you have ranked high, OKC, Portland, Memphis, and Boston:

Looking at win shares for the supporting cast (guys 2-10) of each team:
Chicago (minus Rose): 49.7
Boston (minus Pierce): 41.2
OKC (minus Durant): 41.7
Portland (minus Aldridge): 35.6
Memphis (minus Randolph): 36.0

Chicago's supporting cast comes out well ahead of any team you listed. So not sure you how you can think people are overrating a supporting cast that is as deep as any team in the league. There's really no argument to be made that Rose doesn't have a good supporting cast.
