The 2012 Cyclones won six games against a schedule ranked among the five toughest in the nation. Iowa State won three road games for the first time since 2001, including a 14-point victory at TCU to break the nation's longest winning streak. Everyone in the B12 plays the same conference schedule, the only reason ISU has one of the "five toughest schedules" is because they are the second to worst team in the conference and inflate other B12 teams records by consistently losing.

That said, the entire B12 had exactly 0 out of conference wins over BCS top 25 teams. The B10 had 3, maybe the entire B12 is just overrated.

So to recap, Iowa had a more impressive non conference win than the entire B12 combined.

No, I'm what's wrong with the bowl system. I'm a college football junkie and will watch it if it is on. I will actually make an effort to watch the top tier bowl games. Perhaps I should qualify that a little bit on the lower tier games, I will watch them if they are on, provided that I notice they are on while searching the guide and there is nothing better on. I will not turn to the ESPN channels immediately upon turning on the television, the first thing I look for is usually the news.
