Wow.... Exactly my point as well. Well said!!!!!!!!

QUOTE=hawkihayes;1339681]Agreed we are scoffing at the clowns but let's face it, they came into our house and beat us. Why are we not more concerned with our team that got out coached and outplayed by this horse crap team is beyond me, especially when I see their JR. high quality of play? Now the go to ISU comments are coming out "YEAH BUT WE BEAT YOU" "HOPE YOU GUYS GO 11-1 LIKE 2002" pathetic.[/QUOTE]

I think we are, as we are probably the worst 4-1 team in the history of college football, but bye week.

You go too far sir. We have a defense that can play and is getting better. Phil Parker has shown he can get his defenses to address their deficiencies. I trust that side of the ball will be solid.

We have an issue with a playmaker at RB. There is no doubt about that...and I think that's going to be an issue all season. If they experiment and give more carries to Canzeri and Parker (yes Parker), may we can minimize that issue. The fact of the matter is, I think the OL can protect the QB against just about anyone they are going to play, save a championship game against MSU. If you can protect the QB, you can throw the ball. That always gives you a chance.

Worst 4-1 team...I don't think so. If the defense were pretenders, I could see your point...that's not the case.

How does Pollard think that his crying would be perceived? What would be his take on it if Texas new coach and AD were crying to this extent? He'd think it's ridiculous. His team isn't that good. They were not the better team on the field and were not going to win that game if they played 10 more times this year. So at some point you have to know who you are and quit embarrassing yourself. Cause that's all it's accomplishing. He's not going to change any hearts and minds or convince Bowlsby and the rest of the big 12 that ISU is getting screwed unfairly week in and week out. Even if you feel that's the case you can't go public like that. Keep it in house and complain through the back channels. He's not going to get any favors going this route...

Has ISU been on the bad end of some bad calls? yes.

But the bigger story here is early in Pollard's rant:

"Coach Rhoads and I, a year and a half ago, raised an issue...and we were the lone vote...and ever since that time, we've been on the short end of the stick. I don't know how things change, but it's frustrating and it's not fair."

So we have Iowa State's athletics director insinuating some sort of B12 conspiracy because Iowa State voted on something B12 related and was the lone school on that side of the vote and that somehow these bad calls are due to some sort of retribution?

Yes, that is exactly what he said and what his intent was. the voted outside the box on something, and now they are reaping what they sowed.

Only at ISU could this happen...a first half call costs them the game. Never mind that you had 30 minutes of Football to overcome it. Bad calls can still happen...but the old adage that people toss around, MR Pollard, is that you have to be better than one bad call in a game and win anyway. It's called overcoming adversity and it happens in every game.

I am far from sold on the defense. We have yet to play a team with an offense.
We beat a midtier MVC team. Barely beat a terrible ball st team. Got ran over for a half ag ainst a mediocre at best Pitt team. Beat one of the worst teams in a major conference and lost to another of the worst teams in a major conference at home.

It wasn't even a bad call. The ball broke the plane.

Do you have another view of the play? I've watched the video over and over and still don't see anyway there was video evidence to overturn the original call.

Please don't mistake this for saying it cost ISU the game or that it makes Pollards comments legitimate. ISU sucks and it still burns me Iowa lost to this joke of a team, at home no less. Even if it was a bad call it does not cost a team 17 points nor negate the fact that ISU couldn't even pick up a live ball on a kick off. What a train wreck of a college football program they are.

But for that one call, I still see it as horrible no matter what team we are talking about. I have not seen anything that shows the ball breaking the plan of the goal line. If anybody could provide it it'd be appreciated.

Between losing to these fn crybaby clowns in our own stadium and refusing to play obviously better QB, anyone still defending Kurt is as brutally excuse-ridden pathetic as Pollard. Now would be a good time for self evaluation and introspection.

Demand better.

Exactly. All I can think about while watching those clowns play is the blank slate we had on the sideline getting totally out coached by a buffoon that day. Iowa will most likely to be the only team not to score 30 on ISU this year.

We fricking lost to ISU. ISU will probably go 3-9 with wins over Toledo, Kansas and Iowa. Ouch.

There is one view that I thought showed he broke the plane. I will try to find it. I was surprised it was over-turned, but boo fricking hoo.
Make the play on the kick off and the goal line play never happens. Clowns won't even own up to that fact.

Come on. If not for the refs, ISU would have multiple conference titles and a couple National Championships. The Cyclones have dominated the Big12/Big 8 for so long that the conference/referees have decided to make sure that every close call goes against the Cyclones so the rest of the teams in the league will have a chance. The referees make sure that every team that plays ISU, scores 30-70 points, making it very difficult for the Clones to win. (except the Kirk Ferentz offense) Kirk is all about fairness and makes sure that everyone, ISU and Ball State included, have a fair chance to win by making sure his team scores no more than 20. What a guy.

Bush league is..as bush league does. On a regular basis, the Clowns do something to reinforce their identity. This is just the latest.

The defense has gotten better every week. When that happens, we generally wind up having a decent year. The front four is really good and we don't face too many qbs that are going to be able to pick apart the back 7 as long as we get solid pressure.

My favorite part of the video was "......we will continue to go through appropriate channels and we feel this is appropriate....."

So taking the stage at a post game presser and crying like 3rd grader who lost a flag football game is appropriate?? The man is now a joke, his coach is a joke, the program is a joke, and it's no coincidence they are referred to as clowns.

They'll never resurrect that shipwrecked program as long as they constantly play the victim card. Every team in the country gets bad breaks. You can **** & moan all you want, but that isn't going to change a thing. Sack up and play better football. Start by fielding kicks.

I am waiting for the Michigan AD to step forward and say how bad the refs hosed them late in the game on the incomplete pass that was challenged. That was a bad call.

When Puulturd was asked for further clarification he said no comment, we will handle it internally as we have in the past. Sure Jamie that's why you created a external spectacle and tossed the integrity of your conference right under the bus.
