ISU/Playoffs

If Alabama and Georgia both win out, the committee might end up treating the SEC title game as a sudo playoff game and the loser doesn't get in. I especially think they do this if there are a lot of 1 loss teams remaining.

IMO it will be impossible to leave Ohio State out if they win the rest of their games, including the BTT game.

I think the Pac 12 is out. UW at 12 basically guarantees that.

I think OU loses at least one more, and I think TCU loses one more. I do think the Big 12 will be out of the playoffs.

ND still has @Miami and @Stanford. Bet they lose one of those too.

If I had to guess, I'd put GA or AL winner in, Clemson in, OSU in, then I could definitely see Miami sneaking in if they beat ND.

What I find kind of amazing is that since Park left and Kempt has been in and doing fairly well, why not a single reporter I have seen has asked the coach or OC why Kempt was not starting to begin with. Wasn't he listed as something like 4th string. Kind of an afterthought QB.

Doesn't have a strong arm. The guy didn't even start at his JUCO. The guy has been overlooked everywhere.

Appears to have the timing and touch though. The thing that always amazed me with Kurt Warner was his timing on the throws. Makes it tough on the defense if QB has great timing instinct and touch.

ISU isn't going to go through undefeated the rest of the way. One reason they are so darn hard top play early on is that the Hawks get them before injuries set in. They aren't that deep.

About the QB, the coach seems to like gamesmanship. Bumping park with the Texas game shows that. Park is a bit of a rebel. The new guy I imagine is sort of what KF wants in a QB.

It will be impossible for both Georgia and Alabama to win out since they would play eachother in the SEC title game. Unless you mean win out in the regular season, then I don't know that the loser of that SEC game makes it if Wisconsin is undefeated. I just want chaos...I think we will get it.

Did you even read what he wrote..................... "If Alabama and Georgia both win out, the committee might end up treating the SEC title game as a sudo playoff game and the loser doesn't get in"

All of the so called experts are saying that an undefeated Wisconsin would be left out if you have an undefeated Alabama, 1 loss Georgia, 1 loss ND and a 1 loss Clemson. Even Oklahoma winning out would bump Wisconsin.

No way an undefeated Wisc is left out of the playoffs.

An defeated Wisconsion means they won the Big Ten CCG over probably Ohio State. Plus they would be Big Ten conference champions. That will boost Wiscinsin up into the top 4 in the ratings.

While ISU is the flavor of the day and Campbell is an exciting coach, they already have 2 losses. Going to WV this weekend I predict will be their third loss ending what slim chances they had to begin with.

I can put aside my utter disdain for ISU at the moment and change them to a team I don't care about. The facts are that no team with two losses to unranked schools is getting into the playoff. Facts are facts.

If I had to guess right now the playoff will be Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State.

Think about this for a moment......we are talking about Iowa State!....As a possible candidate for the playoffs?!?! The apocalypse is now upon us.....first it was the Cubs winning it all, then Trump winning the election,....now this??? Whats next.......I shudder to think.

Here's a thought. If ISU wins out, are they in the playoff? That would mean another top ten win (OSU) and likely another top five win in the B12 title game (OU).
It's a year where a two loss team is likely to get in. ISU would have an incredible resume.
I'm not sure - ND would get in ahead of B12 then.

If Alabama loses, they dont get in. Their resume sucks. No games against ranked teams.

The CFB playoff committee having Georgia as 1 at least tells me they are not completely biased towards the Bama. I'll give Bama credit, they have blown teams out and are probably passing the eye test with the committee. If Auburn could trip them up and get into the SEC CCG, I agree that Bama could get left out. Then you have a 1 loss team with little to speak of on the resume.
