SIAP. Here's their satirical take: Link

He has a point about our SOS:
And when you see this article pop up on your Facebook and Twitter feeds, you know what you're going to do? You're going to say "ISU sucks, they have no room to talk." Well, you're right. ISU does suck.

The byline = Cy's Pecker

Professional journalism at its finest.

Can't make this stuff up. Many of the comments below deny the term "little brother syndrome", when this article is a perfect example of just that.

The point of Jon's article isn't to prove how good Iowa Football is or how elite their schedule is. I'm not at all surprised that was lost on Clown fans. Little brother, inferiority complex has angry Clown fans seeing things that are not there.

Simple fact is that if Iowa finishes 12-0 and wins the BIG Title game......they are going to be in the play offs.
I don't see that happening. I'd be ecstatic if it did but I'm not holding my breath. I never expected us to be 7-0, so its all gravy from here on out.

Once Iowa adds a big ten game next year they should look at removing the Iowa State game. It serves them no purpose at all. Hell even Iowa State fans are writing articles complaining about how weak Iowa's Non Conference is when it INCLUDES IOWA STATE. Its like saying "we know we suck so we're going to try to take you down with us". Nice mentality...

Its time to cancel the game.

I guess this is the response I should have used...

It getting sad over in Lames, a pathetic irrelevant program.

Not even joking...aren't they the worst college football program of all time? I feel like I read that somewhere.

I did enjoy watching Troy Davis though. what was that...20 years ago?

I was incredulous at the absurdity of this article. You don't care about Iowa football so much that you sat down and wrote an extensive article that you published about how much you don't care?? Whaaa??

Wow. Well, it's a blog post, so whatever I guess. A really, really bad take...on almost every level.

Not one single Iowa fan I've seen thinks Iowa is elite, just that we are very happy about the fact it's even possible that we can be 7-0 and even in a discussion for a 11+ win season.

This blogger, unknowingly, absolutely defines the stereotype of "jelly". They define themselves based on what Type of season Iowa has, who they beat or lose to, and what they would "hypothetically" do with the same schedule. But, to be fair, they have to think in "optimistic hypotheticals"...because...well...reality kind of sucks for them.

TCU or Baylor (at full strength) would likely, hypothetically be very difficult games for Iowa, as would Alabama, Ol Miss, OSU, Oklahoma, etc, etc. As would most top 15 teams. We may actually have a very strong possibility of playing one if them in a top tier bowl game....something the cyclones have never, in their entire history, ever, had the opportunity to do.

Wow.

Classic "look over there!" article, as Iowa State continues to be an embarrassment to college football, Rhoads and the AD will be fired, and season tickets next year, with ISU playing at Iowa, will drop to $25 per game.

Perspective:
If Iowa beats Maryland, they will have 8 wins. The season could stop then and it would qualify for 2nd highest win total in ISU history. Only 8 times have they won 8 games or more in 123 years. The most ever wins is 9. And that was only done once in the last 109 years.

But I am sure in a couple weeks they will talk about how their basketball b-team could make the final four even when they lose in the first round.

Had a 'clone diehard at work today say, "Did you see the Bulls last night? Freddie's pickin' up right where he left off."

My response was: "Did they lose to the Knicks?"

All I got was a dirty look and "That's not what I meant!"

Why do they make it so easy?
