Is Weisman healthy?

He ran well, but never got even one full drive of work. 10 carries on the day with Bullock and then Daniels spelling him. Your thoughts?

If I remember right, he had an ankle injury some where back there, either the Minnesota or MSU game. I think at least on of the Fullbacks might be dinged up as well. Maybe someone has more specific information.

I think they were scheming more for the pass anyway against the stout run defenses of MSU and Ohio State. It took Ohio State a while to come up with an answer for the three TE sets Iowa was throwing at them. We might see a re-emergence of the run game against Northwestern.

I saw no signs he isn't but did notice the same thing. I think against osu we maybe needed more speed. I thought Daniels ran tough and think bullock looked best I've seen him. I hope they were bringing weis back slowly cuz I'm hoping we get all those touches vs nw.

I would also guess you can pencil Canzeri in for transfer since Daniels has jumped him.

I think it's a few things...

1) The Hammer wore a boot for much of the bye week due to a foot injury. I think the coaches are easing him back in, as to not over work the injury.

2) Bullock has been running MUCH better than he was at the beginning of the year.

3) We've been rotating two backs in drives all year (which has not been the case in years past). This gives us a "thunder/lightening" look; and keeps the backs fresh.

- side thought: perhaps Daniels is doing well in practice.

Personally, I hope his injury isn't nagging throughout the year, as a healthy Hammer is unstoppable. I also think (as someone noted) that he'll get a majority of the carries vs NW. IIRC, he was injured vs NW last year.
