Is this the worst Iowa defense in

the last 10 years? I was unimpressed last week - let alone this week. We are bad.

At this point I would say it's the worst DL possibly in the Ferentz era. Other than Castillo, I don't think the back 7 are that bad.

Yes!! We are in a place that is difficult. We love ya, we hate ya. We are so vanilla that it makes me want to puke. Don't get me wrong, if I had a list of people that I would love to hang with it would be KF and Norm. Unfortunately, nice guys finish last. KF, love him, has no balls. 4th and 1 and with the game on the line you take a field goal? You get what you deserve. Norm, not a better human being on the planet, but, your defense is so antiquated and everyone knows exactly what you are going to do. Guys, I am one that thought we had a chance to run the table, now, if we are 7-5 we have had a banner year in a rebuilding year. Coker is so tentative, the OL is so so, the defense can't come close to making a meaningful tackle, Vandy is scary, and what the hell do we have that is positvie?

We need leadership out there - didn't seem like we had that today on either side of the ball....that is where it has to start - then make some plays.....ISU converted what - 3 3rd and long downs to take it to overtime? We keep doing that and we won't be bowling this season....

May not have been what beat us but it sure didn't help and it looks like we have issues here as well.....again. You know Kirk and his feelings about winning the field position game.

This years DL reminds me of the 2005 DL where iowa ran Iwebema, Mattison, King and Kroul out there.
