Is it me or is this board more active...

after losses than wins?

Of course it is. If a person complains after a win they get ripped apart. So most just keep silent. After a loss the weaknesses are pointed out.

Did anyone catch several player interviews after the game? They were talking about the need to tighten things up in practice. Things had gotten a little sloppy in recent weeks. When it was pointed out KF said practice had been good the last two weeks, TJ Hockenson said "not true". Several other players had the same concerns.

That's all I need to know about the level of preparation going on with the coaching staff.

Ask Caddy, Homerchampless, Playmaker, CJHawkeye. They may be able to weigh in on this.
It seems when Iowa wins, they win in spite of the bass-ackward philosophy of the coaching staff and, when they lose, they lose because of the bass-ackward philosophy of the coaching staff.

Im guilty as well, i post more in the game thread and afterward, after a loss. especially when its a heartbreaker or poor performance.

It's therapy for me, and probably unhealthy therapy.

To be fair, most of my posts are refuting yours. :)

I post way less after losses. Maybe because I am just the opposite and don't want to see all the negative posters who only post after losses.

I post less after losses if I'm pretty bummed/angry about the outcome. I would agree that this board is definitely a little more active after them, but playmaker and Homer are the only ones trolling, everyone else I assume is venting their frustrations, which I get.

Yep, the Dirty 30 gots to get there troll on after a loss.

I think the negative posting will die down...numbness takes over...hope dissipates...KF football...

Offensive line is Fake

WR talent...?

Same ineffective running plays...

Enough...

I assume you think I'm trolling because I dare to bag on your precious BBDB defense? Bend but don't break is one reason why Iowa's coaching philosophy is so bass-ackwards. Ask any other coach in any other program. Those other coaches may play some bend but don't break D but not for the ENTIRE game.

I am in the same boat - I stayed away from here for close to 48 hours. I will save my meltdown for when Iowa loses to a team that they shouldn't.

Losing games when you are a 13 point dog and a 4 point dog isn't shocking. It sucks, every loss always sucks. I just can't come here and see the over the top DERP that is all over the place after a loss. It is mind numbingly stupid for the most part.

Since you asked me I'm active all football season on here reading. I don't see the need to start a thread every time we manage to win a shitty oatmeal eating contest by not stepping on our own dicks. When we put on a performance like that I'm compelled to post.

So do you approach everything in life this way? Your kids play a pretty good game, you tell them in a mocking manner "hey congrats on not stepping on your own dick". Then when they play crappy, it is the only time you talk to them, to just berate them for being shitty.

That is one way to go through life I guess.

My kids don't play for a $5M a year coach in a billion dollar industry and I don't spend $1500 for a weekend to go to their games. Let me know if you need any more help drawing obvious conclusions.

Most people aren't Jekyll and Hyde. If you act this way here, odd are you are pretty much the same at home.

Also if your kids are in sports you probably pay more than $1500 a year in fees, uniforms, gear, and travel. That is if they are worth a damn.

Well I'll let my kids know that they should expect me to be MUCH harder on them since they are the same as a major conference power 5 program according to some moron on the internet.

It's hard not to vent after wins or losses. Same old shit from ferentz now you can add nepotism. I wasn't quick to blame gd because I figured kirk was pulling the strings
