Is it just self-hating, no knowledge or trolls?

I'm gathering that there is nothing, nothing more hateful that for one to be known as a troll. Yet I know people who don't have the slightest nolege of what a troll is. I guess they are no nuthins.
 
Look you are either a Gum chewer, a 3 yard pass play caller, or a guy who doesnt like the gum chewer or the 3yard pass play caller.

Now which is it?

It doesn't matter how close the Hawks are to 6-0. The fact is they aren't.
And they aren't for numerous reasons.
And at the top of the list is, as tm says, that JVB has been bad all year and that's not good for a senior.

The defense has played beyond expectations.
The OL has played at least up to expectations and probably even better.
The RBs have played far beyond expectations.
The WR haven't. Although they have shown some improvement.
The TEs have been MIA.
And the common thread with the last two are that the QB has played far below expectations.

That said the Hawks are 4-2 and 2-0 in the B1G.
The two losses absolutely suck.
The two wins in the B1G have redemption in them.

Haters gotta hate but it's nice that their hate has some hush..

Concur 100%. I thought the first game was some jitters, a new scheme, new players, etc. 6 games in I'm done holding out hope JVB turns it around. It boggles my mind JVB has been so bad in so many ways, but specifically his mechanics failing brutally the past couple weeks (particularly not stepping up into the pocket and no longer setting his feet) and repeatedly missing wide open WR's every game. I can't recall any IA QB missing so many completely wide open WR's as JVB has this season. And I'm not talking accuracy, which is an entirely additional issue, but he doesn't see the most open pass catchers. And it's not GD's play calling, either, b/c guys are usually getting open. It's JVB's execution and selection of who he's throwing the ball to.

Someone also commented that JVB made the right decision to the run the ball when they were near the goal line. Did you not see the 2 WR's he had open on that play? CJF was one and the other was either KMM, Davis or Cotton, but JVB again had guys open and he wouldn't pull the trigger. I'm done thinking JVB is going to get it going, and I'm reserved to just be surprised in the event he has a good game. Seems like he's a great local kid that we are all 100% pulling for, but he's simply not getting it done, and you can only hold out hope for so long.

After the loss to CMU the only people left here are haters, trolls and true fans.

I am a fan of the Hawkeye's. But that doesn't mean I have to like all that they do unconditionally. JVB and the offense are not performing well this year.

" Vandenberg is a dropped pass from Wiesman and 3 horrible plays in a row v CMU for a 6-0 record this year." As for the CMU game. The game should have never been close. CMU got a gift from the Iowa offense.

And the reason the TE's have been missing in action is because of Vandenberg missing them, CJ should have about 6 TD catches over the middle where Vandenberg just flat out hasn't seen him.

Exactly. This team should continue to improve this year, and be pretty darn solid the next two years. They aren't great, but yesterday was really a special win because they never gave up, showed a lot of emotion, and really wore down a very physical MSU team.

So, if you speak your mind and certain people don't like it, your a troll, hater, or your stupid in regards to the Iowa football team? Let's face it. They pulled one out of their butts yesterday so don't say anything bad. If they lose next week, then say something bad.

JVB works hard and is an amateur student athlete... cut him some slack.

As much as the Iowa O is maligned they are Iowa kids along with Davis and Coton and Meyer and are 2 frickin' plays from 6-0.

The defense is doing great, despite all the nay sayers about the D-line and the hate for Greg Castillo.

So ask yourself... a hater, a no-nothing, or a troll?

Also,they are a couple 15 yrd penalty calls from being 6-0, or at least 5-1. They have given up a lot of yards to the yellow flags this season, especially earlier.

Aside from that, thank goodness the defense, and in particular, the d-line is performing better than expected. Michigan St is a decent match-up for Iowa. What scares me is when Iowa will have to score over 24 pts against teams like NW or Michigan. I think this is where people might be concerned about the O & Vandy's ability to create points.

Iowa can get by playing against a stout D with a bad O, but what's going to happen up against an average D but a little more high-powered offense that scores. We will see & I think the jury is still out a bit. Iowa needs to somehow come up with some kind of consistency with the passing game.
 
Sorry, but the fact that a lot of us don't appreciate JVB's play this season doesn't make us haters, trolls, or know nothings. The fact that you are still 100% behind JVB would actually lead me to believe that you are the know nothing.
