Is Iowa More Good or More Lucky?

It's a good run, but at times I try to protect myself from getting too jacked up because it can be a hard fall. I'm enjoying it, but I also acknowledge that Iowa is a long FG from going into OT which could have been a loss and 1 yrd away from being 3-2. A part of me is confident, but another part thinks Iowa could go on a bad run as well & all might be for not. Anybody still have some trepidation or a false sense of security at this point or all you all in now again!?

the short answer is BOTH.

Iowa is better than the past 5 years because the current QB is better overall physically than the past two QB's. And it all starts at that position.

Also, Iowa has been luckier than the past several years. The Iowa fumble that turned into a touchdown against Iowa State. A 57 yard field goal that has low odds of being made against Pitt. The fumble recovery at Wisconsin when Stave got tangled with his lineman and botched the handoff.

Yeah, both is definitely the answer.

As the saying goes. It's better to be lucky than good.

Well, it's even better to be lucky and good at the same time.

I hold my breath every game, wondering when the dream will be over. We're good but not great, so I just embrace the luck we're getting and embrace the whole season.

We are decent I think, and a little lucky, and have a pretty easy schedule. All in all, any team that is going to win needs a little luck , some they create and some that falls from the heavens. We have a qb that is a difference maker and a decent group around him. With a little more luck, hard work, the benefit of a good schedule, you never know what might happen.
