Is Greg Marshall the next Iowa coach?

I have heard from 2 different sources that Greg Marshall is going to be hired by Iowa within the week. Complete rumor but heard it from two different people that may know. I was reluctant to post this but with all the BS flying around i figured why not. I heard Kakert's report is not accurate. FWIW

I heard this as well. Supposedly someone from the search committee leaked it. I doubt it's true, but who knows.

For those that had an issue with Alford's persona, take that and multiply by about 100 and you've got Marshall.

If it was leaked it probably came from Barta. Bobby Hansen wouldm't do it and the rest of those clowns don't even know who Marshall is.

That doesn't fit anywhere near what Barta said he was looking for in a new coach unless we have completely different criteria for "proven success".

I don't know what to think of Marshall. what jumps out at me was the success he had at Winthrop. But idk, sketchy.

You do know that that is impossible. SA had to turn his head sideways(like a big elk) to get it through the doorway as it was.

I just think people are believing too much from their sources right now. Everyone is playing the guessing game right now. Sources included.

It's not even 2:00, and I've already heard three different coaches have accepted the position and will be our new coach. Barbee, Gregory, and now Marshall.

I know money is not suppose to be an option. But can we really afford three head coaches?

These coaching searches can be entertaining early on. But it doesn't take long for them to get old. I hope our new coach is with us for 30 years. Regardless of who is hired.

I agree completely. Just passing along what I heard. If Iowa hires Marshall it would be the 2nd stright coach hired by Iowa bball that i have never heard of

The love of Forbes on this board is out of control. He's not even the top assistant at Tennesse, he's never been a head coach outside a juco and people are comparing him to JoePa? People bash on Marshall, who has won at two different schools, but act like Forbes will be a guaranteed success. 90% of iowa fans have no idea who the hell Forbes, he isn't going to fire up the fan base like some of you think.
