Is Greg Marshall the next Iowa coach?

There is nothing official available. This is from the Wichita Eagle, posted three hours ago:

"Wichita State basketball coach Gregg Marshall is a topic of discussion in Iowa, according to Scott Dochterman of the Cedar Rapids Gazette. When this rumor started Tuesday afternoon, WSU athletic director Eric Sexton said no school had asked for permission to talk to Marshall and he had no knowledge of Marshall’s involvement with Iowa.

He met with Marshall on Monday to discuss the future. Marshall was in Wichita on Monday and Tuesday morning. Marshall did not return a phone call asking for his comment.
It would not be a surprise if Marshall, or his representative, has been contacted by Iowa, Auburn or some of the other high-profile schools looking for a coach. I don’t know of anything substantial going on beyond the rumor stages."​

Since as of Monday no one had contacted WSU, I highly doubt he's been hired by anyone as of today...but I've been wrong before.

Also of note, The Gregg Marshall classic, a fund-raiser golf tournament, is still on the schedule for May 1 in Wichita.

This would be horrible. Even Forbes would be better than Marshall, and I don't see how Barta won't get Forbes if he wants him.

Complete rumor but heard it from two different people that may know.

Well, the fact that you heard a complete rumor from two different sources certainly makes it...well, still just a complete rumor, come to think of it.
