Ironic

Doesn’t any find it ironic or disturbing that we can have all of these NFL prospects but we cannot win a very bad Western Division?

A much tougher schedule next year just got that much tougher. Meanwhile the QB is regressing.

Perfect

What statistical and other evidence says the QB is regressing??

Only haters would dare ask those kinds of questions or think these thoughts! I mean cripes sake man you have the last twenty years to go by!....by the way , I question it every year!

It would be ironic if Iowa wins the West in 2019 and then not have a single player turn pro early after the season.

This season is one of the more frustrating for me. Miss St is the only team Iowa played that had more talent.

Iowa goes as there QB attitude goes. They need a “gunslinger “ to counter Ferentz conservative nature. When that happens, Iowa has “over” seasons. Guys like Stanley, Rudock, etc. that are more reserved just compound the sleepy nature of Iowa offense. The fact that Stanley sleeps 18 hours a day doesn’t bode well for next year.

I don’t find it Ironic at all when you considering how Iowa lost those 4 games. Reality is Iowa should have at a Minimum finished 11-2 and would have if they were If more disciplined.. Irony didn’t Fumble, throw picks and or make bonehead QB decisions at times that derailed Iowa’s record.

What’s ironic is that if Mississippi State hadn’t of played like Iowa against Iowa they would have won by three touchdowns. You see it works both ways.

I was hoping we would build upon our win over Mississippi State and carry it on into next season. Like that’s going to happen now. The year after that well of course we will be breaking in a new quarterback. That will be the excuse.

In Alabama they say “Roll Tide”. In Iowa we say “Low Tide”.

Historic programs USC and Alabama were down for almost two decades until the the right coaching hires were made. So it’s not just about location, tradition, or history. It’s a lot about coaching and recruiting. (throw in a dash of illegal recruiting). Look at what happened to Nebraska after Osborne retired. COACHING.

Those types of coaches are far and few between, but I would be for paying one of them eight million dollars a year to come to Iowa. Eight million a year is a drop in the bucket with the revenue Iowa gets JUST FROM the big ten network.

This opens up a whole realm of possibilities for Alabama jokes.

Look guys I just want to win at a higher level. Lowly Wisconsin has shown it can be done.

I would love to hear them, Lol. When we lived in Georgia our family had good friends who are huge bama fans. It was hard not to hate them. :D

Just starting with a muttered "Low Tide" is good. In Alabama, that could sound a lot like "Roll Tide." In fact, now I may find myself thinking "Low Tide" when they say "Roll Tide." That alone is an improvement.

My one and only consistent gripe with Iowa's offense is the obvious hesitation to go with a truly mobile QB. To me, it makes no sense when you look at the results with Banks, Tate and 2015 Beathard (all very mobile QBs). We won and won big with those dudes, and it made an obvious difference (especially Banks and Beathard). Watch the highlights of the 2015 season sometime.....Beathard over and over again made huge plays with his feet.

Stanley is a good QB and he has moments of very good play, but his immobility makes us too easy to defend, particularly when you consider that we do not have dominant wide receivers right now (again, good but not great).
