As pointed out above and on the On Iowa fb page, these may not be the real deal just yet. There is a lack of a "swoosh" after all.
 
I like the jerseys...but if it's pro combat the helmet and pants need to be wild to make up for it...and I do not get the silver...at all...
 
These actually aren't pro combat unis. They're unis the university designed for the Veterans day game. Maybe Kirk saw the pro combats and thought...um no.
 
Can we quit f-king around with the uniforms and concentrate on making plays???

Bring back our traditional unis and get back to playing HawkBall the way we used to dominate at Kinnick.

Would it be too much to ask for Scheels to start using one of their male mannequins when displaying new uniforms? I can't get into these with that dummy standing in such a feminine pose.
 
I'm starting to think we aren't getting actual Nike ProCombat uniforms. Has there ever been a Nike press release saying we are one of the teams chosen this year? I think we're getting some veteran day uniforms made by Nike that aren't actually in their ProCombat series.

I'm not entirely sure on this, maybe Jon can verify, but I'm pretty sure the players don't have to design or make the uniforms. If I'm wrong here then someone needs to ask KF some serious questions on how he can expect these guys to go to school, practice and spend hours sewing together their uniforms too.

100% this. Let's not forget the horrible copied "throwback" uni's that were leaked that only were close in design and not the overall look that we saw last week.

The only thing Nike in those are the shoes. Everything else is a Gameday Ron knockoff special.

I will hold off judgement until I see the actual uniforms they will be wearing on gameday.

But what are they, then? And who made them? And why would they go to the trouble of making an authentic-looking uniform if it's not the real thing? And how would they get them to Scheel's? And why would Scheel's put it on display if it were a fake?

I'm pretty sure the uniforms worn vs Purdue will look pretty much like this one. Maybe some minor differences in details and almost certainly swooshed up, but it doesn't make sense that they'd look radically different. Unless there's so much outrage from fans that the athletic department scraps the design like they did the Precious Moments Iowa State trophy, but I don't see that happening.

Exactly! These are about as boring as Ferentz' play calling....wait, so I guess it is a good fit. My high school practice uniform looked better than this.

Where is the Nike logo on the jersey and pants?! These are not even real people.

I never said they wouldn't be close. All I was saying is there is a difference between the actual uniform they will wear and the knock offs.

As you can see below they are similar in design but the colors and the type of material that is used is different and to me that makes a big difference.
