Iowa's Kirk Ferentz says he's too old to understand uniform craze

I think we've only done like 3 throwback unis that I can remember and I think the first was around '04 or '05 when Greenway was playing vs Ball St. Can't wait til they do the throwback uni with the Hawks wings on the shoulder from 90s circa Timmy Dwight and Hayden (not really lol) :eek:

Yeah that would be fine if he was doing a good job at the coaching part. Kirk has started to dig a hole that Iowa football will be trying to get out of for quite awhile.

There was a time when players did not care about their number. Just give them a jersey and they'd be responsible that number one which people talked about. Now you've got players who want to spend more time in front of the mirror than the cheerleaders.

Can the players spend less time caring about how they look and more time figuring how to improve?

I agree, and I don't think his comments were that big of a deal. I guess it might be more honest of him to say "yeah, I know teams are changing things up a bit, but it's just not my thing"....I doubt he truly doesn't realize the "craze".

I see a team full of young talent that will only get better as each week progresses. With new guys coming in and these guys getting older, I definitely don't see Iowa football as in a hole that will take quite a while to get out.

I see fake punts, timeouts not called, losses every year to the worst teams in the BoneG, vanilla game planning, no excitement, and one of the worst game day coaches in the country.

I don't intend to bash KF every time he says something and yet I bash him every time he says something, turning whatever he says into a negative so I can bash him every time despite not intending to bash him every time.

Edit: Oops, I meant "Kurt Ferrets"...and whatnot, not "Kirk Ferentz" when I said "KF"...

He understands enough. He gets the fact that the kids like it and he said as much. He went on to say that we can expect it will continue.Said so on the radio show Wed night.
