Iowa's best kicker transferred...

1. No one's being a tough guy or flexing internet muscles in this thread.
2. While you may not have started the thread, you've continuously kept it going. You've also seemed to intimate early in the thread that you know some inside info about his legal issues. So either he's a family member or you're just making $hit up.
3. We do talk about transfer players quite often....but it's about transfer players that actually did something here.....not some 4th string walk-on kicker that no one's ever heard of.

By the way, we seem to be doing just fine at kicker at this point....pretty sure we don't want a DII kicker that can't stay out of legal trouble on our team....Thanks though!

Iowa courts on line has the info pretty easy to find out what the kid did. A MIP is hardly legal trouble. Last I knew the goal post were the same in D1 and D2 and the yardlines are the same. So regardless of were you kick it truly doesn't matter.
Funny how this board was gripping only a week ago about the kicking game and why a coach like KF is trying to convert 4th downs which we all know is way out of his comfort zone.
This really has more to do with the coaches then any player. We have a staff that took a year and a half to see that Canzeri should get more touches, Stanzi sisuation speaks for itself not to mention the current QB sisuation. It just makes me wonder how many others deserve a chance to play and don't get it cause they may not be practice all americans, the safest option or KF favorite. That is my point I'm trying to make. The Haffar kid is just the latest example that is all.

Yawn. He is a kicker who walked on. Whooppee.

But please lecture on the practice stuff, it is so new and fresh.

Yawn.

Three picks in his last game? A loss. He has 1000 yrd, 10 tds 5 int. Iowa qbs have 904yds, 5 tds 2 int. Cody plays in a pass oriented system....which is good for him. He is a good QB, but La Tech is not Big Ten comp.

Yeah, because Iowa has played some real tough competition so far...

4. How about you just relax

While I agree about La Tech, with the exception of Pitt we haven't really played a murderer's row.

How do you function in life? You obviously never heard of Google or you'd have the right facts. Morehouse had an article on it. I've had this screen name for many years long before Alden Haffer son. Just tired of this staff sticking with their favorites instead of playing the best preformers. From Brad Banks to Stanzi to Canzeri, there is a long history.

Oh and I don't think the kid is bitter? He's on a team that has a chance to compete for a national championship. I'm afraid the Hawks may be another 7&5 team once again.

Update Hawks were 7&5 as I called it and the kicker let go is kicking in the National Championship Game Saturday. Worked out good for him I guess.

When players that leave do well, and players that stay struggle.... it's pretty reasonable to point that out.

We may be talking about it again next fall, if CJ ends up at some FCS school slinging the ball farther than Jake could dream of.

God I hope somebody with football savvy gets a hold of Kirk and talks some offensive sense into him during the off season. Don't know who that would be...or how. But one can only hope.

I thought Koehn had a solid year. He started off shaky, but he finished strong, he had a high % of kicks into the end zone, and made several longer FG. Overall I thought he was pretty good.

Wait....I thought the National Championship game was on Jan 12th and we still had to play the semi-finals? Oh yeah, you're talking about some lower level "National Championship" that no one but the two teams competing give a rip about. I'd take a Gator Bowl with a Power 5 school over some low level National Championship in Piscataway New Jersey or wherever the heck they play that game....

I believe most athletes would rather have a chance to play for a NC regardless of level. The game is played in Kansas City not a bad place to go better the Jacksonville IMO.

I really have a hard time believing there is excitement with going to Jacksonville for a throwaway bowl game. You did do a good job of pumping up the game but I think Hawk fans are obviously tired of meaningless bowl games as not many give two craps about this game. I think if Marshall had as many attempts as Alden did there numbers would be similar. Guessing Spider you're bent and so am I honestly with this coaching staff that has provided 5 years of mediocre football then KF actively trols fans on his radio show. Will be interesting to see how fans react to a 7&6 team as I believe Tennessee will beat the Hawks unfortunately.
