No mention of our OL performance is a big miss............3 sacks, 7 rushes on the QB, 3.6 yards per carry for the day. Several Iowa media called it their worst performance of the year. Did I mention their penalties?

Yes, NS had a bad day but so did our OL.

Also, again Stanley is better with Fant, Hockenson and Smith in the game. I checked the numbers and Stanley was 8/14 for 108 yards, 7.71 ypa, 1 INT in the 4th quarter with Fant, Hockenson and Smith in most plays, not counting the final drive. Certainly better than the rest of the game. The rest of of the game, mostly without those three, 10/35 for 97 yards 2.77 ypa.

This game was hideous on almost every level. It was a big game, leading to a higher ranking and bigger bowls. We know the script. Painful to watch.

This is important. Our ol didn’t give much time at all. Nate missed several but the weak OL play contributed to that. We need to figure out how to handle the blitz.

Overthrowing a guy as wide open as Hock was should happen 1 in 1000 times. It was just a complete choke job and he shouldn't have played another down. It was undeniable proof that his head wasnt in it.
