I guess it depends on what you think turning around a program is. The record might have been improved, but I don't remember them winning anything in the tournament. To be honest I rarely heard anything about Southern Miss while he was there. They were improving in conference USA, but not really a player nationally.
As far as his stint at ISU, once the talent well ran dry he finished 10th and 9th. Given the choice I'd take Floyd any day of the week. Just my opinion.

The one that was most frustrating was the first. Just no need for him to try and poke the ball away from a guy posting up 10 feet away from the hoop.

He is struggling no doubt. However, I watched him the entire play he got his 3rd foul on. Every coach would want him to do what he did. He hedged on the screen at the top of the key twice, hustled back to his guy, and grabbed the RB, and was called for a foul (for no reason). His other fouls were earned for sure and he will have to get in better position, but sometimes players are noticed by refs more than others. It happens.

That's what is funny. Floyd was interviewed before the 2nd half and said, "What must Tennessee be thinking?" :)
 
Good experience for the young guys and gives Iowa time to rest up for tomorrow night. Let's hope Villanova and Kansas go triple over time.......hehehe.
 
I still like most of things that Adam is doing. He is still doing a lot of things that don't show up on the stat sheet. My only real issue with him are the dumb fouls, the first two were just stupid. Third one was a phantom call, I missed the 4th.

Watching Olaseni on offense, trying to make post moves, wow, let's just let him create off of effort plays.
 
In case anyone cares. Iowa is 2-0 on the day so far on our way to 3-0 with the Men's BBall team. Women beat Boston College 78-68 in the Cancun challenge tonight.

There are a lot of plays with contact that could go either way. That was a head scratcher. He did NOTHING!

How many of you guys still watching this massacre? I DVRed this game but other than watching the break away dunks, not sure if it's worth watching. How did Xavier vrs Tennessee game come out?

I can't not watch Iowa, even if they were down 72-39 I couldn't turn away. It' not healthy.
