They were a two seed and B12 champs the following year without Fizer, he also turned around a really bad Southern Miss program and did a solid job at Colorado St last year. Eustachy is a very solid coach.
I guess it depends on what you think turning around a program is. The record might have been improved, but I don't remember them winning anything in the tournament. To be honest I rarely heard anything about Southern Miss while he was there. They were improving in conference USA, but not really a player nationally.
As far as his stint at ISU, once the talent well ran dry he finished 10th and 9th. Given the choice I'd take Floyd any day of the week. Just my opinion.
