Iowa vs Nova for the title

Hawks pound these fools, we r the best team in the Bahamas, will be the greatest weekend in Hawkeye sports history...
 
I like this match up for the Hawks. Nova is good but not big or long at all. I think our length gives them problems and we end up winning by 8-10...​
 
Watched the Nova vs Kansas game. Nova plays a very aggressive defense with tons of pressure. Iowa will need to take care of the ball. Should be a very defensive game.
 
Nova didn't make a basket for the first 7 min and looked awful. Then Kansas went cold and Nova went on a run.

Shocked Kansas lost this one. Iowa really needs a win because just playing Kansas would have been a big SOS boost.
 
Iowa wins 2morow if they shoot half as well as they did today, nobody on the court has Marble's ability if needed he takes over the game, its sweet 16 or bust for this team...
 
Nova isn't a good 3 pt shooting team either.
G - 6'3, G - 6'6, G - 6'6, F - 6'7 and F - 6'11. They have good size but most of their scoring comes from the 3 guards and 6'7 forward.
Should be a good test for us.
 
Nova regular line up isn't too big and they only have one 6'11" that IA can easily get him foul out if they attack him accordingly. IA's size, depth, and length should be advantage over them. I see a win for the Hawks.

Would have been bettet to play Kansas win or lose.
 
This isn't last year.. It's not like Nova is bad for the RPI... they're a pretty good big east team. The Hawks already have a W over Xavier and now they play another solid conference team followed by ND. RPI is the least of their worries this year.

Agreed. And why are people acting like a loss over Kansas would be a bigger RPI boost than a win over Villanova? First of all it presumes Kansas will stay highly ranked. This isn't at all certain, especially after today. Villanova may end up being the better team. Second, I know the RPI is a poor metric but I cannot possibly believe that beating Villanova would be worse for our RPI than losing to Kansas. I know that sometimes just losing to a good teams boasts your RPI but so does beating a solid team like Villanova. Plus, the selection committee doesn't only look at RPI. A win over Villanova would be a resume booster. It would have been nice to a have a shot at Kansas, but I take a win over Villanova and a tough preseason tourney title any day.

If the Kansas fans are allowed to watch the championship game it will hard for them to cheer for the team that neat them. So Iowa may have quite a supportive crowd.
