I'm going with Iowa 89 Howard 54 in a hard fought nail biter.
Howard might win.
Who makes these schedules? Were these games set up before Fran got here or did Lickliter schedule teams he thought would score less points than he did? If the coach does it how could you hand the list of teams to the administrators with a straight face? "Here's a list of the teams I want to play next season." Administrator stoicly looks down list then looks up at coach and ask..... "Is the wife making brownies with these cupcakes too?" Then starts busting up laughing....."You really had me going there for awhile."
I guess the point is to get the younger players familiar with the offense and still pick up some wins. Iowa 112 uncle Howard 58. I wonder if KF has approached Fran to ask him if Howard has a football team?
This is one of the preliminary games in the Cancun Challenge tournament. Other men's teams: Western Kentucky, Austin Peay, DePaul, Wichita State, Gardner-Webb, Western Carolina. Cancun Challenge is owned and produced by Fort Collins, Colo.-based Triple Crown Sports, which also organizes women’s college basketball tournaments in Cancun, and the Preseason and Postseason Women’s NIT.
The tournament is not all cupcakes, by any means. Previous champions include Vanderbilt (2008), Kentucky (2009), Missouri (2010), and Illinois (2011).
No bigten.com but you have to pay so here is the free link Week 2 | NCAA Men's Basketball 2012-13 | Streaming & DiscussionIs this game on BTN?
I love watching the big boy teams like KU vs. Michigan State early in the season. Those ADs have big balls and know that to reach the Final Four they need to have tough competition right out of the gate. We still have little boy schedule. Franny will fix that.
