Iowa vs. Creighton Game Thread

Judging from my facebook and twitter feed....any support the program did have for this season from fellow students I know...is severely damaged. Most seem to think next year will be better though.
 
Oglesby needs to be in the starting line-up. May played poorly. Basabe and Cartwright were nowhere to be seen, with Basabe getting into foul trouble. White and Olesani are starting to look a little bit more comfortable. As much as you guys won't think this makes sense, this game has me excited for the season.

Creighton played more like a team and it helped with all the summer games. I really think that once Fran finds a rotation or two of players, we will start to improve. This game also showed our weaknesses and shows the amount of room we have and will improve.
 
I'm not sure why people are so upset over this loss? Sure, we have some improved players, but the Freshman are playing their FOURTH game against a top 30 team in the country that has had more practice individually and as a team. It's still a loonnngggg season.

Whos fault.is that....Frans...it is going to be a long season youre right....nightly beatings by 30 and going winless in BIG.

I am not trying to sound stupid here because I don't really know this, but how many games during the summer can a team play? Creighton has practiced and played more than Iowa?
 
they went on a summer exempt trip to play BB, i am hoping the hawks do this before the 2013-14 season, as we lose just May and incoming freshmen can't go

Wow, bandwagon fans.... so does that mean students won't show up? How sad, what a sorry bunch:mad:
 
I'm not ready to throw in the towel on this squad. It was the first game away from Carver, and we shot the ball like crap, it happens. I was a little confused about the pace of the game. Did it feel like we didn't push the tempo as much as we had in the first 3 games?

Oglesby had a great game, but which one of the starters would he replace, for those of you who think he should start?

This game showed more than the first three. Now the staff has more tangible things to work on.

Iowa really needs a 5 in the worst way possible.

Creighton took the freshman on the trip. I am not sure I understand the rules behind the summer trips. Maybe if the freshman are taking summer classes they can also make the trips.
