Okay homers and haters, make your predictions.

OSU 34 - Iowa 13

Here are my random predictions:
Iowa elects to receive, promptly goes 3 and out, and gives OSU great field position to start the game. Iowa gives up one long return. OSU bottles up Iowa's run game, forcing JR to beat them. Iowa WR's drop passes, and the secondary gets burned on at least 4 passes over 20 yards.

Man do I hope I'm wrong.
 
Lets homer this up! Meatman creates official game thread, followed by NCHAWK posting the official official game thread. Confusion ensues for one quarter. Iowa ends up winning by 4. Iowa visiting crowd shouts "WE-ARE-BACK! WE-ARE-BACK! WE-ARE-BACK" while KOK4PREZ sits in a corner, scribbling a eulogy dedicated to the greatness of Gregory Davis. Everyone celebrates.
 
Iowa down by 7-10, driving deep into OSU territory late in the fourth when Rudock throws an interception. OSU eats the rest of the clock and kicks a field goal. 34-24 sort of range.

Prediction amendment (what I hope happens). Rudock throws a clutch TD or runs it in himself to tie with about 5 mins left. Defense holds, Rudock orchestrates a beautiful drive so we can win by a field goal. 30-27
 
Miller accounts for 4 td's, Hyde 1 td and then a D/ST td. 56 - 10. If KF allows GD complete autonomy, and GD goes for broke with spread formations, and we break every OFF & DEF tendency, then it is much, much closer. The only chance Iowa has to win is to make O$U have to make adjustments on each possession, OFF & DEF. But, there are just 3 absolutes in life, death, taxes and KF being ultra conservative. So, 56-10.

i think the OSU D is a match up nightmare for what Iowa does on O, much like MSU's D. the only way to beat that is to do something different, but good luck with that with an essentially rookie QB and WR group.
 
I LOVE all the homerism on Saturday's it's what makes logging in and responding so special. Thanks Jon for creating this medium for Hawkeye fans! Having said that today's game is going to remind us of some inevitable truths:
1. We may go a generation before we win another Big 10 football titile.
2. The program has slipped to a competitive MAC level team (look at who we play every year and lose to)
3. At this point we cannot recruit enough really good players to compete with the Big Ten let alone the SEC
4. Today's blowout will remind all of us that Basketball season is a mere 3 weeks away.

I put another $500 on the game. Captain Conservative will now net me an easy 1.5k when he gets spanked by slimy Urban Mire. Thanks, Kirk.
 
How nice would it be if BM can come out and throw a couple of pic 6s to start the game. On any given Saturday, things can happen, but original poster is probably spot on.
