The more I watch the defensive line I think they are coached to contain on pass plays rather than rush the passer. They stand up and hand fight to make sure the qb doesn't go by them. They are excellent in tackling rb's for a loss but can't get to the qb on a pass.

that's the way Iowa d-lineman have been playing since at least '06. contain is the goal. especially with a mobile QB.
