Iowa to play Michigan twice

Michigan announced their non-conference schedule and the teams they play in the B1G. They listed they play Iowa twice. I believe Iowa has won their last two at UM. Michigan should be solid this year.

Hopefully that means we will hear Iowa's B1G matchups soon.

I posted in another thread earlier this year trying to figure out how the scheduling works but got nothing. Hard to find information on the web either.

I would assume that teams you've played only once in years past would be more likely to play twice in the future.

Here's who I'd like for the final 4 teams that we would play twice:

UW (played once the last two years)
Minny (played once last year)

2 of the following:
Rutgers (played twice last year)
Illinois (played twice last year)
Nebraska (played twice last year)
PSU (played once last year)
Ohio State (played once last year)

Really want to avoid playing Sparty twice. Also hoping we get Purdue at Carver.

Personally as a Hawk fan living in Omaha - I personally will throw a FIT every year Iowa doesn't play Nebraska in Lincoln. It's already happened twice I believe and there is absolutely NOTHING better than being able to drive less than an hour to see the Hawks play.

That's the same reason I have UW on there!

I've been kind of a (jealous admittedly at times) Husker hater over most my life. I grew up in SW Iowa and spent most of my life in or around Omaha and still do. When Nebbie joined the B1G - it was like my life long dream because I had lived my entire life surrounded by Huskers who talked down about the conference and specifically the Hawks. I knew we would more than hold our own on the football field and I knew we would smack em in hoops. Now, with football and hoops visiting Lincoln regularly... it's amazing the swarm of Iowa fans who attend and invade their stadiums. They like to say there is no rivalry with Iowa and they are too good for it.... but their media, whether that be print, radio or TV takes every opportunity to knock Iowa - their local radio brings up Iowa in nearly EVERY segment. Every time something good or bad happens (specifically bad) to Iowa, or there's a sound bite or there's any news, they spend half the day here in Omaha analyzing the news. Every time Nebraska beats Iowa in anything, I die a little inside. I currently love our domination over them in almost everything.... I worry about things like this being cyclical - please let Iowa continue to dominate Nebraska

I would say its very unlikely that Iowa plays home/home vs nebraska this year. They did that 2 out of the last 3 seasons. I think its very likely that at least a couple home/home opponents are from this group: NW, MN, Wisc, OSU. We've only had 1 home/home against each of those teams in the past 3 years.

Mopkins... please don't ruin my day.
