It's been a decade (2003) since Iowa has swept Northwestern and Penn State in the same season, though.
Beating the teams you're supposed to is a good start.
Damn Crispin brothersBingo.
And to be fair, there were a couple pretty good teams at PSU in the mid-late 2000s
Swept Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan last year.
It's amazing how much "on s cript" Iowa is playing in regards to W/L this year.
Haven't seen a season like this in a long time. Winning the ones they are supposed to, losing to those expecting to.
Iowa needs to get a win they aren't supposed to before the end of the year, though.
Oh, so the program fell off when Alford left? I hadn't noticed. It's been a decade (2003) since Iowa has swept Northwestern and Penn State in the same season, though.
Michigan wasn't a sweep.
Iowa lost to Michigan last year? Link? Video?
Sunday appears to be a good time to do this.
A sweep usually isn't observed with just one game played.
Winning home and away in college BB is considered a sweep.

A win at home is a signature win?
IMO, it's another "cannot lose" game.
The game @ IU would rate as a signature win obviously.
