Can't believe no one has started a thread yet.

We've kept it close despite Purdue making 3's and Iowa not shooting well. We really need to play some better post defense. Wagner got burned on the and 1 a minute ago. We are still right there with them though.
 
It would be nice if Purdue could remember they aren't a good three point shooting team. It would also be nice if Iowa could make a shot.
 
This game started at the perfect time.....it will end right when the football games start.
 
Some bad habits and lax perimeter D rearing their heads. Low intensity and sloppiness began at Rutgers and seeing some carryover, today. A couple projected passes to either Uhtoff or Jok and an ill-advised drive by Gesell is the offense. Just out of sorts, all around.
 
Not a fan of the refs letting Purdue be super physical, but when we do it gets called right away.
 
Did someone say Gesell has a slight hammy injury? Remarkable lack of hustle to the 50/50 balls and barely playing D. No quickness and reverting to some poor decisions on offense. What's up, Mikey?
 
Purdue has played their game and shot well and we're only down 2. Tired of Jok getting held going around screens. If your focus is freedom of movement call that ****
 
I really wish we would take the ball out of Gesell's hands at the end of the half. He always tries to force a shot or pass and nothing good ever comes of it.
 
tough pass by Gessell..but it was there....might be a little too much to ask AW to handle it.

Bad hammy and his ankle was sore vs rutgers
 
Nothing good EVER happens when Mike dribbles down the clock / tries to break down the D. It's either him driving into a blocked shot or some forced pass as time expires. He really needs to keep the ball moving, not dribbling.

I was going to say the same thing. I'm not sure how it's not getting called it's so obvious.
 
Confident that adjustments will be made. Just need some more shots to fall. Jok needs to fight thru the holding and get open....
