When it's all said and done, AJ is going to be able to pick any schools he wants to attend. This kid is impressive.
Guess Bob Stoops is just another starry eyed deluded Iowa fan also....the OK. offer to a frosh means nothing, right?

Guys, guys.. settle. There's a lot that can happen in between now and when signing day would be for him, so Xerxes is just saying don't get too far ahead of ourselves at this point. Of course the offer is contingent, but hell yeah, jump on this kid now! No reason not to.

Florida State, Oregon State, Wisconsin and Utah have offered along with Oklahoma. No doubt that he will hold an offer from every school that thinks they have a slim chance to get him. Hopefully they get tired of the courting early on, and he is the first commit of his class. Couldn't hurt to have a 5* type commit attending camps with other 4-5* kids. ups the chances some kid wants to play next to him.........but even that scenario is a ways off. We can have a few years to wonder. He will certainly be message board folklore before he ever puts on a college uniform.

oh, and FWIW, 247 list Iowa and Utah as "warm" in his recruiting and all others as "cool"

He's going into his sophomore year of high school. I have kids that age. Who knows what they're going to think next week let alone in three years. I'm sure the recruiting staff will stay on it, and it sounds like his parents are on board, but who knows what he'll be thinking by the time he's ready to sign a scholarship. Heck, by then he may be able to (legally) choose from the highest bidder.

I know the family wants him at Iowa very much...and I know AJ has grown up an Iowa fan. But as others have said, he'll have his pick. I truly think if he comes to Iowa he would be one of the most decorated players to come there in the last two decades..and I am well aware of Matt Roth and Blake Larsen's set of offers.
