IOWA-Northwestern comes back to reality game thread.

Totally dominating first half and yet they are right there. Can't afford missing fg's in this one.

I don't think that is too harsh! It is OBVIOUS that he is full of himself and/or not working hard.....its his JOB....its not, oh everyone misses one here and there.....its an obvious lack of concentration......could have cost us last week....might cost of us this week. I think he was a little restrained when he said clown.....wait until the end of the game and think what you'll be calling him if we get beat by 4 or less. Focus!!! Do your job Koehn!!!!

Really good kickers don't miss extra points in back to back games and then a short FG...

Koehn has a strong leg but his dome may be fragile it appears.

What are you talking about? I doubt we've had a kicker miss 3 pats ever. You could go out there and make an extra point. He's far from good.

A bit harsh. Frosh kicker, has made a number of kicks that have helped us get to 6-0.

Yes, he needs to regain some confidence.

Remember, if he doesn't make some really big 40+ yard kicks...we have a couple losses.

Agreed. Hes now 9 for 11 on the season. The 2 missed PATs are kind of bewildering, but Gary and Ed seemed to think the snap was bad on the one today.
 
Its amazing that this game shifted momentum for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. Defense took a series off.....uh....we don't want to pressure a freshman qb that was extremely rattled in the first 20 minutes? Really? lol Come on dude! Since we are up 16 lets chill out a bit..let him get some confidence back and make it a good game. Lets see what the staff does at halftime to get the momentum back. Koehn miss is huge...huge....huge
 
If we were up by 10 I'd say we hold on but we can't adjust, we're playing chess with 6 pieces. We need a miracle.
 
Koehn is terrible Jesus get a real fg already Kirk that is four points he has cost us already by half time. Utterly pathetic.
 
Need to calm down a bit. Iowa had put some solid drive together. Many of NW's points have come from big plays --a deep pass on 3rd down and and interception-- which are, hopefully, not sustainable.

He'll be fine. I hope. Kickers are a strange breed, especially young ones.

Games seem to play out like that a lot at Iowa. Pure domination for awhile and instead of putting it away we back off.
