IOWA-Northern Iowa official game thread

Like we didn't see this coming with our do nothing offense. We got to get down by three td's before Joe Paternal's twin brother opens up the offense.
 
well we knew UNI had a decent offense... they were going to score some.

What's absolutely unacceptable at this point is that we haven't been able to move the ball against a Division 1AA defense.
 
That's what happens when your qb isn't afraid to throw the ball. A couple of those check downs that Jake made it looked like he passed up open receivers downfield. It's good not to make dumb passes but you are so scared to make a pass that you just quit throwing then you're done.
 
We won't see run after catch yards because we're throwing right into the teeth of the defense. You have to hit receivers in stride and 8-15 yards downfield to get that. Maybe by November we'll see a downfield pass. Every fan, coach, commentator can see the need to open it up. Kirk must have vision problems since he can't see it. His fear of a turnover will always hinder this team.
